Modern Video Games / PS3 Questions

Alright folks, I don't know dick about the PS3. I have one and don't know anything about it. It's the 80gb Fat model. I've got a couple of questions

A) How do how I tell if it is backward compatible?

2) Is there a good and cheap replacement controller?

III) What are the go to games on the system? I want the God of War Trilogy and the Uncharted games. Other than that, I have no clue.

There isn't a place to put Virtual Boy Accessories.  It had an optional AC adapter that was sold seperatly.  It could just be added under Hardware if that's ok with everyone else.  I don't know if there were any other accessories that were avaliable.  That's the only one I know of. So, is there really a need to create a whole new category?

Classic Video Games / Nintendo Super System

Does anyone know anything about a Nintendo Super System arcade cab?

I have my eye on one.  I haven't seen one since I was a kid. It comes with Mario World, F-Zero, and NCAA Basketball.  There aren't anymore games on Ebay that I can find. I would like to sit one next to my PlayChoice-10.

Anyone know anything about them?  Do they have problems? How much are more games?  I can't find much info on them.

General / Chemically Impaired Challenge

This is a dumb idea, but my son is at my mom's and my wife went to see her friends. That means I'm home alone. What do I do when there is no responsibility for me?  I drink beer and play video games.

That got me to thinking about this: The Chemically Impaired Challenge. I challenge any forum members over the legal drinking age of 21 (13 if you're Canadian) to play a game while drinking.

Tonight, I challenge you to make a deathless run of Super Mario Bros after six Man-Beers.  No light beers and no extra lives here folks.

This is completely dumb and I hope no one follows my lead. In fact, this thread shouldn't exist...  but it does!

General / Physical Copies and Digital Copies

I was looking to get the Telltale Games Walking Dead disk because im kind of anti-digital only. Well as it looks, the disk version has so many problems that Telltale is giving folks codes for digital downloads If you can't play your physical copy.

Why do we not get a digital copy of  a game when  when we buy the physical copy?  We bought the game, didn't we?  It's not like it costs the developer any more if I download something.

General / About to make a Craigslist run

I'm about to drive about an hour for a Craigslist find. This involves Earthbound, but it seems a little fishy. What else am I going to do on a Saturday? Clean house?  I have a 50/50 feeling that I'm getting trolled, and a small hunch they may try to rob me. I'm not going to meet anyone at their house. That shit ain't happening. Wish me luck. I'll let you know how it goes. If you don't hear from me by tomorrow night, check the obituaries.

Classic Video Games / Sega CD Help

I'm looking at buying a Sega CD, but it has no cords. What all do I need?  I know it'll need it's own power cord.  Does it need one to connect to the Genesis?  I'm outside my comfort zone fellas.

How much am I looking to spend to get this thing up and going?  Help me out.

Classic Video Games / Can you read Japanese?

I need someone to help me. You see, I can't read or speak Japanese.  I know this is a surprise to all of you since I am from Northern Arkansas.
You see I've wondered for years what the characters at the top of the screen on Kung Fu for the NES mean. Seriously, I've been playing the game for 25 years and still don't know.
I assume they are Japanese characters. They may just be jibberish put there because Americans are stupid. Someone throw me a bone.
