Not a glitch. You should just let the submission go through. I've had this happen to me, and after, say, 3-5 seconds, I get redirected to the item's page.
I used to surmise this was the reason so many duplicate entries were being made; people clicking submit multiple times. This just confirms it. Not pointing fingers, of course.
