E.T. The Video Game

I played it when it came out, and I'm surprised by the responses here. I've ALWAYS said that I actually really liked ET, and everyone would jump on me. At least now people acknowledge it's at least playable, lol. I was maybe 7 or 8 when it came out, so keep that in mind. Good for a kid that age. I found the difficulty kinda rewarding once I figured it out. When the FBI agent came on the screen it was panic time, lol. i'd run and fall, and keep trying to get away.

E.T. gets a bad rap as "The Worst Video Game Ever" but in reality its just an okay game.
Not the worst by far, there are games on Atari and other consoles that are far worse then E.T.
I got my 1st copy back when I was a kid in the 80s and even beat it. I honestly like E.T. better then Raiders of the Lost Ark and Sword Quest.
E.T. reminds me a lot of Superman on Atari 2600, again a meh game that you can beat and odds are never care about playing again.
But Superman doesn't get the Hate E.T. does mainly because people blame the 1983 Video game crash on it.
Is it a good game? No, its just okay.

Great responses!  I remember seeing E.T. when I was 8 years old and I got the ET game for Christmas.  I actually beat the game multiple times because ET was my favorite movie at the time and I don’t think it deserves the bad rap it gets.  Granted it wasn’t a great game but definitely not the worst

It's crazy that in 2019 some are still naive enough to claim this as one of the worst.

I have this game and have played few times. Not so bad.
