Author Topic: Guinness World Records Official Largest Video Game Collection! Reaction Thread.  (Read 2448 times)

Hello everyone :)

I just seen the newly released video trending on YouTube of the official new guinness world record holder for most games. A man named antonio from texas.  I mostly came here to discuss with everyone how majestic and god tier this man is. But I also come asking the golden question.....

Does this god reside among us in these forums?  Is it the flea?  I really am flabbergasted about how amazing this man's collection is and the sheer passion and effort he has for games.  I really hope he makes more videos on a channel similar to AVGN or Gaming Historian so we can see his amazing grails and knowledge.

He has a full Wii, Wii U, N64, SNES, NES, Genesis (MegaDrive), 360, Xbox, PS2 and PS3 sets among others.  Thousands of PS1 to Switch and XB1 games.  PS4 games in the hundreds.  A full Vita and Full PSP set among countless odd ball stuff like neo geo pocket color sets and amazing amounts of amiibos and swag.  :)

He is basically god. He's our lord and savior.  He is the nerve of nazareth, the second coming of the messiah, the holy power, the choir that spoke the world of the holy prophets who reigned before us.  He's the son of mary, father of joseph.  The legend himself.  He is Christ before and after the cross.  And he is everything I asspire to be.  I'd furthermore kiss his floor but I would not be worthy of such.

Here is the link to his video with guiness  :)

I hope everyone has a happy week and enjoy the discussion about this monumental video.  I know many of you may already know this man.  I'd love to hear about him or hear from him about his mighty collection.  Does anyone know if this man is a member here?

Thanks for sharing.

The biggest collection I've seen is a guy calling himself (The Last Gamer) you can check him out on YouTube he had a building built to house his collection yikes!

The Last Gamer... that's epic. He's the last one. Except he isn't. He's a liar, wow I'm getting tired of this.

That's a lotta shovelware ;)  haha, just kidding, impressive collection, lots of complete sets!

But I do prefer The Last Gamers collection (previous Guiness World Record holder) over this, probably because of how's it's displayed, plus all the arcade cabinets and machines he has makes it impressive. Plus he has an entertaining Youtube channel.

You can see his latest collection vid here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox7En_cYAa8

I think the reason why he's no longer the Guiness record holder is because I recall him mentioning he doesn't really collect for handhelds. Then the new record holder has complete sets of handheld games from the looks of the video.

Aw man- this is honestly a bit disappointing.

I know it's becuase of Last Gamer's amazing setup, but seeing how this guy's collection is housed hurts a bit. I'm big into accessibility of one's collection- there's no point in having it if you can't play it. I understand making concessions for space in smaller collections- it can cost some decent coin to create the infrastructure for accessible games. However- if you've got the money for Guinness-level collecting, you've got the money to house it properly. I only watched a few bits of the video, but- stacked dvd cases? Ceiling height shelves you'll need a ladder to even see properly (assuming you can fit one in that tight hallway)? Junk drawers?! Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive spectacle & it's not even close to the worst storage I've seen (plus there's some signs of 'work in progress' where I think shelving will eventually be?)... but c'mon, man! Skip to 9:10 and tell me that looks at all use-able!

I absolutely agree with everything and he doesnt collect cib for everything such as the last gamer with especially cardridge based systems it just looks allot less impressive.

However unlike last gamer not everyone can be stinking rich wich can be seen for especially storage He has an above average salary probably and quite some room It's not as small as one might thing but still a hell lot less in comparison

Would not be a fair comparison to the resources that the last gamer can spend on his game collection getting a seperate building hiring people to search stuff for him entire rooms with a hell lot of arcade machines. heck he even hired people to fix stuff for him and to get the perfect setup to play them games.. There is a huge difference in wealth compared to these two. also allot more modern stuff from this guy it seems

Less impressive sure but allot harder to achieve with less money. not everyone can be a crazy spending millionaire after all. Allot of Props that he managed to get more games than an actual rich man by not getting everything cib and getting all them new releases for maximum count playing by the book to get in the guinnes world record.

Also I quote if you've got the money for Guinness-level collecting, you've got the money to house it properly.

The thing is while this guy has some expensive stuff with them cd based games allot of it is just lose cardridges this guy has more amounts of games for a fraction of the price compared to the last gamer So I dont think the guy has that much money left to house it properly he would need a bigger house for that. allot less retro stuff largely incomplete sets of for example the turbo grafx neo geo aesetc. The last gamer had full sets of neo geo aes USA version and mvs turbografx x980000 everything cib holy grails such as tetris megadrive etc etc So value wise the collection of the last gamer would be in another ball park than the guy that we see right here.

i will say though pretty none will not get such a great collection as the current guinnes world record holders so no comments about . I dont think this guy made millions in the stock market probably above average salary or maybe in the ball park of a surgeon you need crazy cash flows to do stuff like the last gamer.

No this guy is not me. Lol

Well I can say I have the 3rd largest collection. (That I know off) lol
I saw his collection and it's an impressive collection for sure. He must pick up every game on release.
Kinda a clutter collector. I know many but I've seen worse.
Reminds me of when I lived in an apartment.

Just need a little over 5,000 more in my collection to beat him. Lol
I have had other collectors with large collections offer to let me borrow their games just to get the title. I always say unless your donating them all to me I'm not gonna cheat. Lol

If it happens it happens not gonna go broke to get a title.
Technically anyone who has a ton of money and space can take the title. I kinda like this guy has it over last gamer due to he's a gamer/collector and the last two got their collections from running a business buying and selling games.

I meet the guy who had the title before last gamer and he told me when he lost the title he called last gamer to congratulate him and last gamer kinda acted like he was better then him. At least thats his story.
