What TV/Netflix show are you currently watching? (Megathread)
Cartagia:
Death by Lightning - I liked this a lot. Was way more into the political stuff than the impending assassination. Dialogue occasionally felt a bit too modern, especially when compared with the verbatim historical bits.
The Beast in Me - Incredible performances all around, but, as is often the case these days, there was not enough content here to fill 8 episodes.

Sakamoto Days - Finally got around to watching an anime series, been abit, it's hard for me to focus down and I need a dub to be available, but figured I'd check this out. It's overall a comedic action show, former top level hitman leaves the life to have a family, until the hitman life comes back to involve him once again. I think it's overall fun, some decent action, not too serious while having some serious moments and can be violent too. I think I liked it more early on where it was more about different types of hitmen trying to take him out, as the latter half delves more into the direct story and and the greater threat of a villain called Slur, the weirdest nickname. Not bad though, it's good for a casual watch, might watch it with the next season whenever that is.
Cartagia:
Masters of the Universe: Revelation - This show captured the feeling of just mashing action figures together better than maybe anything else ive ever seen. I understand why some of the story beats were controversial, but I have no big nostalgia for the He-Man lore, so it didn't bother me at all. It maybe could have been structured or paced a little better, but as a whole I thought this was great.
Enjoyed the first batch of Stranger Things S5 episodes. Its never been as good as S1, but I'm enjoying the journey to the end well-enough.
Masters of the Universe: Revolution - Not quite as good as Revelation, but still a fun time! Really enjoy what these series have been doing in the MotU playground.
kamikazekeeg:
Binged through the final season of My Hero Academia and had a great time with it, they went all out with it. The series had some ups and down, some soft spots in the middle, but I always enjoyed it. It's just a good overall show I think. I'm gonna get to Vigilantes, the prequel spinoff they did eventually.
Got back to Chainsaw Man, I for some reason stopped towards the last couple episodes when it was first out, but re-watched the first season and finished it up and it's definitely a good watch. I know the movie is doing crazy right now and looking forward to that once it gets to rental.
Cartagia:
Just finished the first season of Derry Girls, which was incredibly funny and filled with terrific performances. Reminded me a lot of Pen15, just Irish.
Second season of Derry Girls had my favorite episodes of the show. Third season is way more messy, and more of a standard sitcom, but I still liked it.
Second half of Stranger Things 5 is so unbelievably milquetoast. It's not offensively bad or anything. It just plays everything so unbelievably safe.
Watched a pretty fun PI series called Stumptown that aired on ABC a few years ago. Good cast, decent writing. Got hosed by COVID, with the renewed second season pulled because of the pandemic.
Finished a rewatch of The X-Files third season with my wife. Several all timer episodes in there.
