No, I own Sonic 06' sealed and only because it was a gift.

Mine was also a gift- but opened and a 'get-this-thing-out-of-my-house' gift.

As for why I KEEP it:
- more eco-friendly by not putting it in a landfill
- socially conscious by not dumping it on a thrift shop
- excellent choice for Crappy Game Night
- teaching tool in not blindly following a franchise
- great choice for console testing (no loss if damaged)

Hell no.
I own AD&D Heroes of the Lance for NES.

No, I didn’t buy that POS, it was a birthday gift.

At least you got a video game for your birthday ::)

It might be just another frustrating NES 2D platformer but it was free right?

I know right :)
The friend who got it for me was just trying to give me something I liked; he could not have known the horrors that dwelled within. I appreciate the gift.

I don't know how it is with you guys but if I get free stuff wich I don't like I either sell it, give it away or throw it into the trash can plain and simple. no reason to keep stuff around that i don't enjoy.
Throwing it away seems like a horrible waste. I don’t care how bad a game is, I’d rather keep it than trash it.
Anyway, it looks good among the other NES games, and it contributes to my overall collection number  ;D

Nope.  And for a lot of things in my collection, if I could get a reasonable amount I'd dump a lot of it.

I don't know if I would say "love" but at least 95% of my collection (that I've had a chance to play anyway) I at least "like".

And yet you still haven't framed it... Guess that will be your next birthday gift...

Love them all as if they were my own children. When they disappoint me, I disown them.

Actually, no not every game is a 10/10 obviously. But I'll accept anything that's at least a 5/10. I've been known to enjoy "bad" games.

I have a rule when it comes to buying video games I only buy what I want. I even love atari 2600 game ports and people like @Seether and others think that Atari games a trash

all video games have a learning curve. and once you're in the groove you can like just about any game look at the angry video game nerd, and others on YouTube. Vary few games seem impossible to maneuver. But sometimes a person on YouTube might hack a game and say they beat it but.

I'm very easily entertained by the majority of games I've played. I think for me a game's premise is paramount, if that much intrigues me, then it usually outweighs any of the cons found within the game's execution. I'm able to reconcile the objective reality with my personal experience. A game can have bad production values, and still be fun. I'm not going to say that it's a 10/10 game, but on some level it can still be worth owning and playing through.

I even have a couple games in my collection that I don't necessarily like per se, but I think they're important games that everyone should play because of the interesting things they do design wise.

Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter is one game that comes to mind for me.

Hell yeah, what's the purpose of purchasing something if you don't like it ? You know the phrase that money doesn't grow on trees ? In my particular case I even have to sell old games to get new ones so am not wasting my money for something that am not going to use/love or do you go to a restaurant, order some food, pay for it but tou don't eat it ?, about the games that I got for free, well that's another story, I don't love them but also I don't hate them.

I don't want to be horny anymore, I just want to be happy
