Yea right, THIS one. Plays kinda like MarioKart, with throwable items, rockets, and stuff ... but it's suited for little Kids, as it's subtitle says "my first racing game" - so, it's way easier to beat than Mario Kart - no comparison at all in difficulty to Diddy Kong Racing.

I'd say it counts. It's not "karts" per se but it's got all the other same qualities of Mario Kart that make it enjoyable. I didn't even think of that series when making this topic though so thanks for the reminder. Love those games!

Oh whaaaat? There was a Bomberman kart racing game? I had this dream, years ago, that a Bomberman Kart existed. Never heard of it, never seen it until now. So now that my interest is piqued, I'm trying to find out more about this game. On Wikipedia it's definitely listed as having come out in the US. Everywhere else I can only find any info on the Japanese release. Unless I'm looking in all the wrong spots, I can only find Japanese or European copies for sale. So either the American version is extremely rare like you said, or it doesn't exist. Maybe it was planned then it got cancelled. If anyone has more info about this game, please indulge me.

EDIT: Nevermind, with a little more research the US Bomberman Fantasy Race does exist but it must be extremely rare. Very few copies to buy online and most are disc only with the few with cases and manuals are super expensive. :-/

The name of the game is actually Bomberman Kart (go figure), with Bomberman Kart DX being the updated version. Overseas release only, PS2.

Does Sonic All-Stars Racing: Transformed count? Like they aren't technically "Karts", but for all intent and purposes, it plays exactly like Mario Kart or Diddy Kong Racing would.  Either way, it's an amazing racing game.  I was really bummed they dumped the series for the Team Sonic Racing game.

I say it counts, as it follows the formula for a "kart racer" to the letter.
