That is quite the inflated estimate for average copies across all games to ever exist. Bear in mind that most games being sold sell very little compared to the presumed five million. I'd wager that most games on Steam or a marketplace like itch.io sell well under 1,000 copies, but I'm sure there are many that have sold far fewer, much closer to zero. Also, consider that a large number of games aren't sold at all, such as Flash games or certain indie titles.
