A Year in Review - 2024

Alright, trying to get to it.
Favorite 2024 Release: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It might not have had the best story of the LAD games, but adding new cities to visit is always great, a liked some of the new characters, and the stories are always filled with twists and swerves. I think I definitely got more into this one than Y7, and finishing Kiryu's story is great.
Least Favorite 2024 Release: I'm probably going to say Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. I was so disappointed by it sticking to the script as closely as it did, but I suppose 3 will have the opportunity to turn it around.
Favorite Game Played in 2024: Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased his Name. I really enjoyed this game, it's not as long as Infinite Wealth, but it's probably the last proper Kiryu game that we'll get and I really enjoyed my time with it.
Least Favorite Game Played in 2024: Acceleration of SUGURI 2. I hated this game so much, but I started it and needed to finish it for a challenge. Hated this game so much.
Sleeper Hit of 2024: For games released this year? Another Crab's Treasure or Little Kitty, Big City. Completely different games, almost polar opposites, but they are both great games for their respective genres and I don't think either one got talked about much outside of release month. Played in general? Velvet Assassin/Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. I really want to give it to Velvet Assassin by itself, but the final level, or really the final section of the final level, pretty much ruined the experience, but the game was a fantastic stealth game.. and Enslaved, I feel like it's not such a sleeper hit, but I definitely slept on it for over a decade.
Favorite Gaming Moment in 2024:
Proudest Collection Accomplishment of 2024: None, same as last year, I've basically gotten out of collecting. I buy modern stuff I plan on playing and that's about it. Maybe getting tons of steam games for like nothing? I did get a bunch of 2024 releases for nothing out of my pocket due to saving up reward points and then finding some stuff on clearance though.
As usual I'll add some categories
Proudest Gaming Accomplishment in 2024: Not too many this year, I guess 100%ing Another Crab's Treasure?
Favorite Game Revisited in 2024: I'm gonna go with Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. I played a bit of this on X1 years ago and got pushed to play it on PC recently and I really enjoyed playing through the game. I plan to revisit it in 2025 to do more side content.
