--- Quote from: marvelvscapcom2 on May 06, 2025, 09:26:21 am ---Just got a vita guys.  Freaking out lol.  I got it solely for Uncharted Golden Abyss. If everything else on it ends up sucking. It was still worth it tbh.

I loved Uncharted on the PSV. Unfortunately, I bought mine at launch, thinking it would be very similar to the PSP in library. Obviously, I was severely mistaken. There were a couple gems, but I consider it the worst Playstation ever created. PS5 at least has third party support and an occasional first party game coming. PSV died for the most part at 2 1/2 years in. I still have mine, only to play Golden Abyss. Had it been part of the Nathan Drake Collection (PS4), I'd have sold my PSV long ago.

- The Lost World: Jurassic Park

That is a favorite game of mine, though I have the PS1 version. Tough as nails, but there's codes to level select to play the section you want. It's a blast to play as the T-Rex.  8)

So far I've gotten 4 vita games but dont have too much intent on more yet. Batman Arkham.Blackgate is an exclusive story. But I got FFX because I figured handheld HD will be the best way to try it for the first time.

I agree that Vita is just about Playstations only miss. Golden Abyss is the sole seller for me. Every bit as big of a collapse as the wii u but it gets less flack.  PSP was so widlly successful and if Vita had that library? I can only dream. Its shocking how they just didnt push for it to stand out.  3DS won only off process of self elimination.

I also got terraway. Which i hear plays bettet on Vita because it was built for vita's touch functions.

Should be getting my vita in tomorrow. Super stoked. Ive wanted one since I was a kid.  Vita vita vita lemon eater shall be with my psp 3000 on my handheld shelf lol.

megasilverx1:
It's been a bit of a slow month. I've certainly been seeing a bunch of games at thrift stores, but it's just been the usual sports games, Wii exercise games, Kinect Adventures, and occasional Lego game. No new releases have me interested and I've been mostly chilling with Pokemon Sapphire and Pokemon Colosseum, trying to get all 386 Pokemon.

GBA
e-Reader
Mario Party-e
Balloon Fight-e
Excitebike-e
Clu Clu Land-e
Tennis-e
Donkey Kong 3-e
Pinball-e
Air Hockey-e
Game & Watch: Manhole

Other
Jakks Pacific Mega Man X Mega Buster from 2019
Sonic the Hedgehog The Official Cookbook

The e-Reader had Donkey Kong Jr. still saved on it which was neat and I have a few old Pokemon cards that have e-Reader dot codes on them. Overall, the device is neat as an early DLC idea, but looking at the requirements for hooking the device up to another GBA, I can see why it never caught on outside of Japan. Having one of these e-Readers now though, makes me wish I could go back like 20 years and tell my kid self to hold on to the e-Reader cards that came with Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3.

theodw:
Not much this month (had emergency expenses), but I've been eating some hedgehog.

Xbox 360

* Sonic Unleashed (I ordered the UK XB1-style reprint, but got a US Platinum, natch. Keeping it, cause returning it is more expensive.)
Xbox (One/Series)

* Saints Row IV
* Sonic Colors
* Sonic Forces
* Sonic Frontiers
* Sonic Origins Plus
* Sonic x Shadow Generations
* Team Sonic Racing
* Tekken 7
* Tekken 8
Now just missing Superstars to have the full Sonic set.

it had about 12 games. I ask if he can sell any and he pulls out 3 games and says he'll sell the rest. (he pulled out SMB3, Zelda and Dr. Mario)

Picked up Capcom Fighting Collection 2 on Friday. Thank goodness for the retro game compilations or else there'd be barely any reason for me to buy new games lol.
