Its possible to do both ... just a pain in the ass most of the time. My game room has to remain locked any time Im not in there cause my son is obsessed! But I get to share my hobby with my babies who seem to sometimes be more interested than I am. :P
As far as the Miata, whenever you do become responsible, I still am not ... I want it!

I don't have to lock the room just the stuff I don't want my son to play with gets locked up. Thankfully he is good about only taking one game at a time and returning it to the right spot on the shelf which is pretty good for a 6 year old.
