24 hour game-a-thon for local charity
« on: August 03, 2012, 10:57:23 pm »
The gaming club that Darko and I helped start is putting on a 24 hour game-a-thon starting at 7pm on August 31. Any help anyone is able to give is appreciated. The organization we are supporting is called Hotdogs for Homeless. Its a local couple who go on their weekends and buy 2-300 hotdogs/buns and drive around giving them out as well as minor tasks such as bicycle repair and what not.

This is a cool idea, are you picking one game to try and play through or just whatever you feel like at any moment?

We are going to mostly take 2 hour shifts. Although I think one of the other founders and his wife are going to try to double team their shift and play all the way through SMB3. Im not sure what I want to do yet.

This sounds like a job for the what to play thread :)

Id love to play Zelda : LTTP but 2 hours is merely a tease. Same with Super Metroid. Maybe Ill practice on Super R-Type. :)

I'll be tuning in. Get a hold of me when the next one rolls around. I may want to do some sort of VGCollect sponsorship, if interested.
