I traded a friend some atari and genesis games for his turbografx and I love it! Its amazing! Except the one controller port(thats pretty dumb) anyone got any recommended games for it? The game cards are genius! Also. I know that they have a multi port for it,what are some games that are multiplayer on turbografx?

Legendary Axe is pretty dang average. But other than that, I agree with those lists.

Bloody Wolf and Ninja Spirit are especially good and usually overlooked. And Neutopia, while nothing more than a Zelda clone, is a very good Zelda clone.

My fat cat broke the controller port on my first TG-16 by sitting on the cord right where it plugs in, rendering it useless. So I sold a lot of my original TG-16 collection. My wonderful wife got me another one last year. Sadly, the RF input is finicky and I only have 3 games, now.  :(

This is one of my favorite systems. I don't have much to add to the lists of games, but if you're comfortable soldering, it's quite easy to do a region mod to play Japanese games as well. That opens up a whole new library. A composite video mod is also really easy to do, and is a huge improvement over the stock RF.

I found the TG-16 to be cool yet widely underused. It was around when the market was fully saturated with Nintendo and Sega products and it really didnt stand a chance. Ive had 3 of them throughout my collecting lifetime and I really wish I hadnt lost them. One of them was a Duo and that one I miss a whole lot. Some really awesome titles on there. Side Arms was one of my favorites for the base system and, of course, Ys I&II was the shining star on the Duo.

If you have the option, you can always download a few TG-16 games on the Wii Virtual console to see if you like them.

Why not tap the expansion connector on the back of the TG16 and add A/V out via composite.

I knew about that, but it never even crossed my mind.

Probably a mental block since I've always thought that NEC making people buy accessories for things that are standard on other consoles was a rip-off.

I probably will pick one up.

If anyone wants one if those cables, I have at least one laying around, possibly more.  I made myself one before I modded my console, and sold it after I didn't need it anymore. When you buy the wire terminals, you get enough to do several cables, so I made a couple more.
