Hardware Serial Numbers

I was thinking it would be awesome if you could file your hardware serial numbers on here without having to worry about others viewing them. I don't know how easily this could be incorporated, but I thought it would be nice to have.

If you go in "Settings" and uncheck "Public Notes"  you can add notes to every item you have in your collection without them being public to others :)

I just want to warn you that the public notes code is something I need to revisit. I am not 100% sure that it hides them in all circumstances. I'll add looking in to this to my todo list.

OK. I just find it easier for me to keep track of my serial numbers here than trying to keep it in a notebook that I keep losing or a spreadsheet long forgotten about.
This is a great site and I'm glad I found it.
