So SlothingXPLG, have we convinced you to get a Sega Master System yet??? |

I love the Sega Master System too. The system itself is more handsome looking than the NES and gives you less problems (no blinkies). And the graphics are brighter and more colorful. But still, the NES's game library beats the SMS's game library, EASILY. Wonder Boy and the Sonic the Hedgehog SMS may be cool platformers, but they've got nothing on Super Mario Bros. 1-3 and Duck Tales 1 & 2. Golden Axe: Warrior wishes it was as good as the Legend of Zelda and Crystalis. Zillion is pretty cool but I'd still take Metroid over it. NES's Ninja Gaiden may not look as good, but the gameplay is 10 times better. Sega Master System got R-Type over the NES, I'll give it that, but then at the same time NES got Gradius and LifeForce and SMS didn't. There's nothing on SMS to compare to the Castlevania series, Mega Man series, Contra, or Bionic Commando among others. |

When I was a kid, I had a friend down the street who was a die hard Mega Man fan. He did nothing but talk about Mega Man, so it made me never want to play it. Now I regret it. Thats something I got to get is the Mega Man NES CIB collection. I remember when we were playing Donkey Kong on the super nintendo, he was playing Mega Man 5 or something lol |

Dont bother with Mega man series on the NES ... you can get the collection on Gamecube or PS2 and have all the games plus a few extras for cheaper than you can buy MM 1. As far as NES vs SMS, I dont want to open that can of worms. Sure the NES has some awesome titles but they also have enough shit titles to outnumber the entire NES library. It was partially Sega's own fault but they really limited themselves on 2nd and 3rd party stuff. I just wonder what would have happened if Konami, Capcom, Square, Enix, and some other companies supported SMS instead of the NES. |
