It took me about a year to watch Cheronbyl after it came out, thinking that surely it couldn't have been as good as the hype said.  Somehow it was even better.

I watched the first season / 4 entries in the late 90s Hornblower series.  I liked them a lot!  Good production value, melodrama on the high seas, mostly good performances.  Shame they've been kinda lost to the memory of time, because they really fill that Master and Commander shaped hole in my life.

Caught up with Creature Commandos now that I have Max again, and overall, it's been great.  It's like if the Harley Quinn show was a tad more serious and action packed, it's pretty fun and I'm enjoying the characters.  Even managed to make Weasel slightly interesting with the recent episode lol Definitely looking forward to the rest.

Obvious similar vibes to The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker too because of James Gunn, but I liked those and this is no exception.  It's gonna be cool to see Gunn play around with kinda the two sides of superhero's in DC, where we get him being raunchy, crude, and violent, with this stuff, but then with Superman gets to take things in what would be a more hopeful and positive depiction, and certainly more family friendly.

Storm of the Century is about a catastrophic blizzard and a villain with a naughty list, so it's basically Christmas viewing.  Probably the second best of the glut of King mini-series we got in the 90s and 00s (with The Stand being #1).  Great performances from Tim Daly and especially Colm Feore, but a lot of the supporting cast weighs it down with terrible Mainer accents and kid actors are terrible down to a one. It's biggest strength is the fact King wrote it directly for TV, so it doesn't feel like so many bits and pieces are missing like so many of the others.
