I'm an idiot though. I want to have a massive QUANTITY of QUALITY games! If I have ALL the games, then there are sure to be some good ones in there.

...But...

By doing it "that" way - you're bound to also end-up with exponentially more 'filler' & 'fluff' games; that you don't really give a shit about VS being more selective 'n' picky about your purchases...while you may end-up w/ a larger collection/amount of total games - like you're saying - I bet you that if you were to compare the quality & valuable items, side by side w/ someone who's just been carefully & consistently hunting-down & acquiring a more *focused* quality collection...that by doing it 'your' way...you'll end-up spending more money to wind up w/ the same games; no?! :o

I was joking. I'm actually in the middle of this right now. I still want to try to get every NES game; but my SNES, Master System, etc. collections are way more selective.

I can tell you this - unless you're a glutton for punishment - I would never, ever, ever go for a CIB SNES set. It's my favorite system ever and I wouldn't even think about it. Not only did they produce some absolute garbage for the system - but some of that garbage is extremely expensive versus Master System, NES, N64, etc. I haven't done the math, but I would guess that it's in the top 5, maybe even top 3, most expensive sets to obtain.

It's really easy to drop a grand on CIB SNES games and not even put a dent in the titles you actually want. That being said - there are a ton of great games to obtain - so if you had a grand lying around I wouldn't tell you not to spend it :)
