It doesnt happen anymore. And I do think both of you are right. Consoles power and online gaming has killed the arcade scene the same way Ebay has caused lots of closed businesses : convenience. But I do miss that dark arcade and people crowding around the machine with quarters up. We used to get dropped off at the skating rink ourselves. They had 5-6 games and a concession stand as well as the skating itself (I was on the Oklahoma speed skating team for 2 years when it first started). |
