I love Silent Hill 4 as well, but I think it gets some hate just because of the drastic change in gameplay and controls. The game does have some issues; it was made by non-core members of Team Silent who were working on SH3 at around the same time. So it does lack a little polish in the story, graphics, etc. but it still works really well as a SH game. My biggest issue with the game was having to escort Eileen all over the place, she wouldn't follow you and would get stuck or damaged and look ridiculous during cutscenes with all that "blood" on her. ??? |
