Retron 5 Game Genie Hex Converter

From what I have read on one of the forums here is that you can enter your own Game Genie codes to the Retron 5 using a Game Genie to Hex Converter. Has anyone attempted this? I'm curious so I can finally use IKAAAE on Mario again.

Yes you can but not all NES game genie codes will work.

Thanks, but is there anyone on youtube that show how to use this thing because to me the XML Retron 5 cheat file looks Alien to me.
