Consolidate LCD games

Would it be a good idea if we consolidate the LCD games into one major category and have subs under it?
Example:

LCD Games
  • Coleco
  • Game & Watch
  • Konami
  • Nintendo Mini Classics
  • Tiger Electronics
  • Tiger R-Zone
  • Miscellaneous

I think all LCD games should be one category. (Unless we're talking LCD systems like Game.Com, because that actually has it's own separate library of games.)

To me, separating the LCD games is like separating NES games into Konami, Capcom, Rare, etc. categories. They're all different brands of the same thing.

That's an interesting way of looking at it.
At any rate, they're all over the place.

As an LCD game collector, I support this idea, too!

For me, having them divided by maker (Konami, Tiger, et al.) is not terribly important. I would probably put all the dedicated handhelds in one category and then systems with interchangeable games (game.com, Game Wizard) into their own categories.

I would also vote for a separate consolidated category called "LED handhelds" for things like Mattel Baseball, Blip, and Horoscope Computer.

Not a bad idea! It does feel like it belongs.

I vote for it as a yes. The manufacturers made them all differently, so it's not like saying Capcom/Konami/Rare/etc on the NES, because they were all the same case and board. LCD games are varied. I don't see any harm.
