Castlevania III NES "Contest Edition"
« on: January 10, 2015, 11:40:22 pm »
Hi all...
New to forum and not a collector but sadly interested in selling my old Atari and NES systems and games. Have a question but couldn't find it in the search topics
While perusing my collection, I found Castlevania III in it's original box but noticed it's the one that had the alleged "contest" to win a trip to Dracula's hometown in a red circle.
I was wondering if any of you knowledgeable collectors knew if that version is worth more or less or equal to the version without the contest.
Thanks in advance.  :)

Of all the ones on eBay, more seem to have the contest promotion than not and they all cost the same. Nobody even mentions the difference. I would conclude that the contest sticker or whatever it is means diddly squat.

Dang. I was afraid of that. Was hoping I hit gold when I noticed that though. One of the only two games I have that are actually still in the original boxes and thought it might even be a "special" box. The other game wasn't even that game in the box! So double whammy. lol
oh well  :'(
Thanks for the reply!
