German rating (USK)?
« on: September 07, 2015, 04:14:56 am »
Hi,

I wanted to add in a german USK "Ab 18"-rating from 2002, but these don't seem to be included in the database yet.

Are regional ratings added in on request?

Yes we do take recommendation. USK is probably the last major system we haven't implemented yet. It may be a while before we add it however, as the owner/programmer only stops intermittently.

I'm currently working on something in the database, so I could add these ratings at the same time. Matt is the one who is going to apply my modifications in the end, but I can add the ratings to the pile of what I'll send him once I'm done with the rest.

According to http://www.usk.de/en/, there's 0, 6, 12, 16 and 18, is this all?
The format would be:
USK - 0 (Germany)

The labels changed a bit over the years but yes, always been those 5.

Im just wondering which rating should be used when you have a game like this http://vgcollect.com/item/89402.

In Europe more and more games get double ratings on them.

I would default to PEGI. Games with German language packaging should ideally be the only ones that get USK ratings assigned.
My collection doesn't include my Steam or PSN games, just physical games.
