i'm wondering - did nintendo pay homage to their masterpiece, the NA super nintendo, by making the gamecube purple? it matches the purple trim on the SNES and SNES controllers. |

Perhaps, but the SNES was only purple in North America. I don't really know what thought process went into making the GameCube purple, but it worked. |
