SFC game reccomendations

baileykun:
I can't find many of these lists and most include only text light games which isn't too concerning to me since I study Japanese and need to practice reading more anyway. I just bought a SFC for Christmas and it came with Super Mario World, but obviously one game does not a collection make. On my list thus far are Bokujou Monogatari, Actraiser, Mother 2, and Puyo Puyo.

What are some great SFC games be they text heavy or not? Bonus point for anime styled games, I'm quite fond of those.
ferraroso:
I have a very modest SFC collection, so I am far from a specialist on the console, but I will try focusing my recommendations on some Japanese exclusive titles:

Rockman & Forte, Macross Scramble Valkyrie, Gundam W Endless Duel, The Firemen, Lady Stalker, Popful Mail, Paneru de Pon, Kishin Douji Zenki: Rettou Raiden and any SNK brawler released for the system.

Since you want to practice japanese, I can also recommend you Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, Seiken Densetsu 3, Bahamut Lagoon and any Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy.

ferraroso named some good ones

i really enjoy going thru SFC games, so I can name a few that I think might be worth your time

i think there are zillions of good RPGs so i won't bother with those

super tetris 3 (has 4 player support)
tetris battle gaiden (weird head-to head with powerups)
twinbee rainbow bell adventures (think sonic + rocket knight..but with classic twinbee color scheme)
pop'n twinbee
bomberman 3, 4 and 5
super family tennis (4 player support)
any of the power pro baseball series.. they are kinda tough compared to most baseball games from 16 bit era but there is a lot of text due to the story mode and the gameplay itself is quite unique. they have no equal in terms of creativity with baseball on SNES
battle cross (top down racer with 5 player support)

those are more arcade/sports style games, but hey, gotta have variety!

check this guy out...https://www.youtube.com/user/1SNESdrunk

he is only reviewer i can stand to listen to, and he has a few different ongoing series on super famicom games. might be just what you are looking for. his vids are short and to the point for the most part

Thanks, some of these games I've looked at so far look great and I'll start adding them to my list. The channel is very useful too.
