What are your top 10 JRPG's? For each generation.

What are your top 10 JRPGs? I should add it's probably smart to separate it into top 10 for each generation.

I.e Top 10 8 bit JRPG;s, Top 10 16 bit JRPGs, 32 Bit, 128 Bit? etc.. or 3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th Generation.

It doesn't have to be in english. Fan translations or no translation at all is allowed as long as you can prove it has some merit or quality.

Oh god. Oh my god. This is just brutal. I can't order my babies like that. Okay. I'll try. Saying that though, I'm very picky with my JRPGs, a lot of them (especially more recent ones) I'm not a fan of.
I'm counting this as the traditional JRPG genre rather than RPGs from Japan. I'm protective of what I do and don't consider to be JRPGs. No ARPGs or TRPGs or anything like that.

16-bit
1. Final Fantasy VI
2. Chrono Trigger
3. Final Fantasy V
4. EarthBound
5. Final Fantasy IV
6. Super Mario RPG
8. Phantasy Star II
(Haven't played a ton of 16-bit games so this'll have to be a top 6-that-I-like)

32/64-bit
1. Final Fantasy VIII
2. Final Fantasy IX
3. Final Fantasy VII
4. Digimon World 3
5. Pokemon R/S/E
6. Panzer Dragoon Saga
7. Parasite Eve
8. Mother 3
9. Persona 2: Innocent Sin (haven't played Eternal Punishment)
10. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Game Boy Color)
Might have cheated by putting GBA games here but I was struggling to think of more games. I have a few import Saturn JRPGs ready to fly once I become fluent in nipspeak though.

128-bit
1. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES
2. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4
3. Final Fantasy X
4. Skies of Arcadia
5. Shadow Hearts
6. Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht (haven't played the others yet, still need to finish this)
7. Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
8. Shadow Hearts: From the New World (haven't played Covenant, still need to finish the first game)
9. Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call (Nocturne for y'all across the pond)
10. Pokemon Colosseum
Tales of the Abyss would probably be on here if I'd played more of it, need to pick it back up again sometime.

All later gens together cause there are nearly no good JRPGs anymore and it'd be hard to make a list otherwise
1. Persona 5
2. Lost Odyssey
3. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth & Hacker's Memory (they're basically the same game)
4. Tales of Graces
5. Radiant Historia
6. Tales of Vesperia
7. Pokemon X/Y
8. Pokemon B/W
9. Hexyz Force
10. Resonance of Fate

Are you just trolling? You don't even have your own list!

Don't have enough for top 10's, and on certain systems I played absolutely zero, so I'll just state my favorites based on systems.  Also JRPG is really pretty varied, but the first type of games that come to mind when I hear JRPG tends to be turn based/tactical based gameplay experiences, for the most part.  There are exceptions to this as it's really just up to my own tastes.  Otherwise the term is so varied that it's impossible to pin things down.  Like Bloodborne, and Nier: Automata are JRPG's, but I don't put them alongside Xenoblade or Final Fantasy VII.  They are action games first, more so than an RPG.

SNES - Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG
PS1 - Final Fantasy VII
PS2 - Final Fantasy X
PS3 - Valkyria Chronicles (Though I technically played the PC remaster)
PS4 - Final Fantasy XV
Switch - Xenoblade Chronicles 2

I've dabbled in plenty of other JRPG's, but there's a lot I haven't beaten, such as most of the Final Fantasy series, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Xenoblade Chronicles, Persona 5 etc, but because of that, I don't count them.

There might be some good ones from the later gen but on handhelds but I don't know much about that area.
