Threw out the box to a game as a kid or adult - 20$
Guilty as charged of doing this. ‘Nuff said.
Traded in a game to gamestop for less than a 10th it's value - 10$
Not a GameStop, but a local video game store. I was a kid.
Cheated without the other person knowing - 10$
I never cheated whenever I played with somebody else...but I do admit to cheating by myself occasionally. By that I mean using game cheats or cheating devices like Action Replay. Once I started being paired with cheaters/hackers in Mario Kart DS, I began heavily using an Action Replay to “even” the score. Things got stale after a while, though.
Threw a controller or broke a TV or game in rage - 5$
I used to slam my controllers on the floor constantly as a kid whenever I couldn’t beat a level or boss, etc. Nowadays I could care less. Granted, there are times where frustration creeps in, but I use that as my cue to either stop playing or move to a different game.
Borrowed someone's game but kept it for over 2 weeks without notice. - 20$
Well, it’s quite worse than 2 weeks, I kept them for life. On a sleepover, a friend of mine left some games, but he told me to keep them until I beat them. Unfortunately, a week after that we had a falling out, and well, the rest is history. Thing is I had actually forgotten that I had the games because I put them away in my closet, and I ended up re-discovering them about a year later. By that time, he, for some reason, stopped playing video games altogether. Sadly, this is the same person I’ve alluded to that introduced me to Pokémon.
Named Link anything other then Link in Orcarina of Time/LTTP - 100$
I feel the fine for this one is quite high, but yeah, I’ve named Link something else in OOT and MM. I know where you were going with this one, though – I used to think nicknaming Pokémon was a sin, but nowadays I think that’s one of the best parts of catching/breeding them.
My bounty comes up to $165.
