Not sure how many people here are aware of the latest company to open and start publishing digital games. Strictly limited games is a company from Germany who has started just that.
https://www.strictlylimitedgames.com/
Announced in August (I believe) they are going by the once a month business model to release games on the PS4/Vita (possibly Switch in the future). The first title, Tokyo 42, is now available for pre-order purchase : https://store.strictlylimitedgames.com/products/tokyo-42-ps4 as well as some additional bonus items.
Soundtrack - https://store.strictlylimitedgames.com/products/tokyo-42-soundtrack
Art print (aluminum) - https://store.strictlylimitedgames.com/products/tokyo-42-art-print-i-aluminium-plate
Art print (glass) - https://store.strictlylimitedgames.com/products/tokyo-42-art-print-ii-acrylic-glass
All of their titles will be USK rated but will not feature the big stamp on the cover so that it shows 100% full art. Quote via the FAQ : There is no age rating printed on the cover / disk.
But of course, all games published by Strictly Limited Games have been officially rated by the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK).
Already announced 2 additional titles for upcoming purchases.

fuck this is going to be so complicated to track. these little outfits seem to be popping up just about every other month.
I think we might need to start a alternative thread just for tracking current releases of every one of these "limited run" publishing sites
Limited run games
Special reserve games
VBlank
PlayAsia
Strictly limited games
and possibly
Signature edition games (just found it today also and I think the "SIGNATURE EDITIONS" are limited to a certain amount)
-
I will be the source for all things PS4. Signature edition games is exactly that. They make special editions of the games they release with signatures all over the box.
https://signatureeditiongames.com/
Their list of games consists of : Slain, Aragami, Super Meat boy, VR Ping pong, Sublevel zero, Unbox, Yonder, The long reach, and upcoming Count Lucanor.
-
Also (As Ive mentioned before) I keep a detailed list of stuff PS4 wise on the Playstation Age forums. http://playstationcollecting.com/forum/messageview.cfm?StartRow=1&catid=99&threadid=173107
It is mostly NTSC/US based releases but I do have SLG and Play Asia stuff in there also. I have not added Signature edition but I will update that in the future.

I was able to get a standard PS4 edition and I will try going for a Vita Collector's edition in Round 2.
Good luck to all of you!

I got my ps4 copy. Not doing the CE. No interest in cartridge anything anymore.

Having only just started collecting games, and specifically PS4 for now, seeing all these companies release limited production games is disheartening. I know there are games that I want that I will never own unless I am prepared to pay a massive scalpers fee. Hyper Light Drifter comes to mind.
Luckily I haven't got a completionist mindset, or I might as well stop now!
I have ordered Undertale and What Remains of Edith Finch.
I think I am just going to pick up the games I really want, as and when I can get hold of them at a reasonable cost.
