I'm not one of those crazy people that lives for Black Friday, in fact I feel like the deals for the past few years, on video games at least, have been mediocre for the most part. However, this year I am genuinely excited about a lot of the deals I'm seeing on various newer video games. So what is your Black Friday 2018 game plan this year?
Here's mine:
I am probably going to start at Walmart since they have they seem to have best deals on newer games this year. Specifically I'm going to try and snag the following from them:
Assassin's Creed Odyssey (PS4): $35 - this is one my GF really wants, I don't a have a lot of interest in this franchise
Diablo 3 Eternal Collection (PS4): $17
Dragon Ball FighterZ (PS4): $17 - this one is still a maybe since I'm 90% sure ArcSys will release an updated version soon
God of War (PS4): $25
Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition (PS4): $25
Street Fighter V Arcade Edition (PS4): $12
Depending what I can or can't find, I know that Best Buy and Target have a few deals that are equal or close to these. The real wild card is going to be Gamestop which has kept their ad under wraps (mostly) to this point, but they might get factored into my plans as well. I imagine they'll be doing their b2g1 or b2g2 deal like they have in previous years on used games, which means I'm probably be picking up some more PS4 and Switch games.
There is a local independent game store that does crazy Black Friday deals and will likely be hitting them up as well before the day is done.

Stay home, well away from anything which has "Black Friday" written on it.

I don't do black Friday, lol. I will be spending a lot though this year...car repairs :/
If you are a best buy member, you can get
AC Odyssey for $30 and GTA V Premium for $20 today.

Black Friday weekend is a dark time for me indeed.
I stay at home with my family hoping the data center takes the barrage and my pager doesn’t go off.
-
I will be buying a PS4. That is my only mission this black friday

Best of luck! I highly recommend going pro!

The same plan I have every year... 14 hour workday.
Retail sucks.
-
My black friday plan was to get the PS4 Bundle with Spiderman but then they announced their deal for the whole week. Sony being epic with their deals like last year :)
So now my list for black friday is shortened as I spent quite a bit on the PS4.
I mostly want to get
Horizon Zero Dawn Complete : 10 dollars
MLB The Show 18 - 17 dollars
And possibly GOW if my dog let's me. My dog isn't a big fan of the series. Has really hindered me playing them.
-
Nothing.
I pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee.
Between shooting cowboys and hunting shiny Pokemon I’m set.

That's my plan.

Took advantage of early black Friday deals this Morning got Nier Automata and Soul Calibur 6 from best buy
-
I guess that PS4 deal is all week so hopefully I can grab it soon

It looks like Gamestop has Walmart beat on various newer games. What pisses me off though is how they made their B2G1 on used PS4, XBONE, and Switch games PowerUp Plus members only. Eh, whatever, the membership is garbage and maybe they'll make it available to everyone next year after they sell probably a fourth the amount of used games they did when it was available to everyone.

That's my plan.
Amen.

I will be at home, eating leftover turkey, and playing my new Spyro: Reignited Trilogy.
Screw that madness.
Enjoy that God of War, though, bikingjahuty. Fantastic game, just finished it.
-
you couldnt pay me enough to go black friday shopping. I may go after black friday is over and see what deals are still left afterwards.
-
Well, the ads are all up and it looks like Walmart and Gamestop are going to be my only two stops. Sounds good since I typically put up Christmas decor all day, eat junk food and watch a holiday movie the day after Thanksgiving :)
-
Staying out of that mess like I do every year. :P
-
I have an all-day appointment with the furnace inspector. After he leaves, I'll prob just be playing BO4.
-
Change of plans lol.
I actually will have more money than anticipated and silly me hadn't looked at gamestop's ad yet ;D
God of War..... For 17?!? What? That's silly.
Ratchet and Clank for 9 bucks. Crazy. I need it so bad too :)
And Spyro with the socks big box bundle for 35?
Gamestop just hadooken'd best buy and walmart. It's not even close.
I'm so excited to try to get these. Hope they don't sell out.

I managed to buy the 1 TB Spider-Man PS4 yesterday at Target! Good thing I went early too, those things have been selling out like crazy.

I took advantage of Best Buy's early online black Friday sales on Tuesday. I bought Overcooked 2 and Friday the 13th Ultimate Slasher edition both for $19.99.
On Wednesday I went to Gamestop and bought Horizon Zero Dawn Complete edition new and sealed for $9.99.
Today, Best Buy has all of their Black Friday deals online starting from this morning so I bought Injustice 2 for $19.99 and Crash Bandicoot for $24.99.
Next I stopped over to Amazon and bought a PS Plus subscription for $39.99 and also purchased Life is Strange: Before the Storm Limited edition for $9.99 and Darkest Dungeon for $14.38.
And all this before I even had one bite of turkey!
Finally tonight I plan to go to Walmart and try to snag a copy of Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition for $17. Hope I can get one.

I got some pretty good pre-Black Friday deals on some games:
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle - $25

Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (PS4) - $20
Watch Dogs 2 (XB1) - $15
Burnout Paradise Remastered (PS4) - $10

Went to the GAME store (UK) yesterday to find absolutely nothing worth buying! I was honestly looking around to see if there was anything as i didn't want to leave with nothing. But jsut couldn't justify as i had seen prices online cheaper.
I did manage to get
Dark Souls: Remastered for £10 @HMV
Dragon's Crown PRO Edition £13.95 @ The Game Collection
But I'm generally after: Fist of the North Star, Vampyr, Dragon Quest XI

This has easily been one of the best days of my life. A top 5. I mended some bridges with relatives who I had been fighting with, and while things aren't 100 percent, they are better in that regard. Which feels good. And I spent one of the most amazing, fun and bonding nights with my older brother as we both loves games and enjoyed a outing hunting the deals.
The deals were bountiful and the black friday gods shined upon me :)

Basically birthed a huge chunk into the PS4 family to start me off with the console, the console itself and a good chunk of it's exclusives and titles for under 400 dollars :). It's been a very happy night.
Thank you so much for being beautiful every last one of you. I want to say that. Don't let the earth break you with it's dirt. It's dirt is hard but you are harder for having been birthed from the earth. And be thankful for the ability to be thankful for being thankful of other people thanking.
