Modern Video Games / Re: What are your thoughts on Simulator Games?
« on: February 20, 2024, 01:58:48 pm »
I'm not a fan of this type of game... I tried euro truck simulator and I don't understand the fun.

Now there are simulators for anything, like homeless drunk.  ;D

I watched The Vince Staples Show and it's not bad for a TV debut, it's a shame it's too short.

The heist scene and the park are excellent  ;D
There is even one of my favorite music in the show : Summertime in LBC  8)

GB Relink, the chapters follow one another quite quickly.
I really liked the passage with the attacks of the ships.

The bosses (and the final boss) of chapter 5 are very cool, especially the last one with the music that accompanies it.

I like the game for the moment.

Edit : I finished the game and had fun from start to finish.
The staging, the OST and the bosses are exceptional.
They really put all the resources into the visuals and the staging, it's a big hit.

The game and the bosses are really fun to play, I loved the final boss. This is for me the biggest surprise of the year, I haven't had this much fun in a few months !  :)

It's not really for the collection aspect but more out of experience and appreciation of the console / hardware.

Judgment.
It's supposed to be a spin off but it works like a classic Yakuza with a skin detective.

I like the characters, Kaito reminds me of Kiryu.
The physics is pretty weird, there's always a huge ragdoll.

The side quests are always crazy and good.
A bit of a shame there's no karaoke.
Apart from Paradise VR there are not many new mini games.

EDIT : I finished the game a few days ago and I think the narration is excellent, see above some yakuza games.
I was really captivated by the story, it was a real pleasure to follow it even if there were a few lengths.

The OST is very good.
It's quite simplistic but I enjoyed looking for the clues (except the cat meowing in each scene) to carry out the investigations.
Except for the shadowing, it was really boring and long because some NPCs went back or sometimes turned around.
The track part too, it's pretty lame and it seems to me that it was already in Y4.

The staging is always at the top. I would have liked to have the skateboard for free mode lol
There are the same ambient noises and music, posters or storefronts as in the old Yakuza.
The same NPCs, animations and license plates.

I discover Ghost Trick, it's excellent.

The inspector is really special and there is a woman who lights a candle with her butt  ;D

I would like to finally succeed in reducing my backlog and still enjoy playing as much.
I don't really collect so nothing on that side.

Why has Inspector Gadget not a game?  It would be perfect. You get power-ups Metroid style to progress.
That’s my random thought for the day.

There have been games, but I get what you mean; I think Inspector Gadget: Advance Mission isn't that bad, all things considered. Currently, there's this turd if you're looking to torture yourself.

Lmao the release of this game is really shameful, plus it's still quite expensive for a game that ends in 2 hours.

The game is buggy, I read that someone was blocked during the credits.
However, there is potential to be created with this type of license... recently they also massacred Goldorak.

Off Topic / Re: Music in 2023

I should make a list of what I listened to because I don't have everything in mind.

I was disappointed by Travis Scott's new album (Utopia).
I mainly listened to game music (FF, PSO2 etc) or re-listened to rappers like Tupac, MF Doom, Tyler the creator, snoop dog..

A little electro too.

Least Favorite Game Played in 2023: AC6, NFS Heat, FM and Lego SW Skywalker (not bad but too many bugs)

Favorite Gaming Moment in 2023: try for the biggest score in hi-fi rush and have platinum Melody Of Memory

I don't know if we can choose several titles.

I was very happy with the announcement by Sega, now to see what it will be worth...
They should also have done Ristar.

I'm interested in Rebirth (although I will have to wait for the PC release  :'() and Visions of Mana.
Very surprised by the new Mana.
