I don't usually abuse my admin status here but this is urgent. eBay got hacked... in FEBRUARY. And those dumbasses didn't say a thing until today.

The database, which was compromised between late February and early March, included eBay customers’ name, encrypted password, email address, physical address, phone number and date of birth. However, the database did not contain financial information or other confidential personal information.
The usual "if your password is the same at other places, change it ASAP" warning applies.

Have they done anything about it, even though they didn't talk about it? If so, I'm safe; I changed my password about 2 weeks ago. But wow... It's really stupid and dangerous not to mention it.

Geeze, and people complained when Sony took 1-3 days to tell people the PSN was hacked. What's with companies being so freaking irresponsible lately?

I received an email from them about this so I went ahead and changed mine. But yeah, it's stupid that they waited this long to tell us...

I just signed into ebay to add something to my watchlist and Ebay forced me to do a password reset.

But Paypal remains fine. maybe they should cancel their partnership. lol.

I never linked my Paypal to Ebay. It sounded like the worst idea ever.

Well, if you linked your Paypal to Ebay, does that mean you don't have to log into Paypal to pay for something?

Uh, that's odd. Contact support, it's probably just a glitch.

Fun fact: Both companies are owned by the same parent corporation so they already have all your info. :p
