Mine is left 4 dead 2 for newer and Zombies ate my neighbors for older :D I also love the walking dead games.

I personally consider zombies to be much more varied than just the generic undead types, so I'd say they would personally count, as I would also say the infected people from 28 Days Later are zombies.
For me, it's tough as I'm not a huge horror guy, but I love zombie games, so there are a lot.
Hard to say what I think is my favorite though...Resident Evil 4, Dying Light, Dead Rising 2, The Last of Us, and there might be one or two more that top the list for me. Dead Space might also technically count maybe...

Resident Evil 2. Love zombie movies, and RE2 was like the perfect zombie-movie like game. Great setting, creepy music and sound effects, gory, cool creatures, and a storyline straight out of an 80s horror movie. Love that game, one of my all-time top 10 games.
I can't freaking wait for the RE2 remake to happen!
On the same note, I love all the original-style RE games, but RE2 is the best, IMO.

I wish I could like the pre-RE4 games, but those controls are abysmal. Makes them completely unplayable for me.

It is a fun place to work but some of the designer's decisions aren't... the greatest. I was a huge fan myself before working here, so I'm not really offended by some of the communities rhetoric. It's kinda interesting to see all this chaos unfold.
