Video Game Database Discussion / Re: More Missing Consoles
« on: July 10, 2012, 10:59:24 pm »
Just adding my vote, I also have Xavix games to add.  I also have all of the games for the ZAPit Game Wave.

Watara Supervision seems to exist as a piece of hardware, but not in the system list (for adding games)?  Am I seeing that right?  In the same vein, the Nintendo E-reader is an accessory AND a platform.  Could it be added as well?

Very low priority, but I also have Mattel HyperScan and Playskool Ion games too.

Wow, that was fast!  From a general question to a new category in less than a day, thanks so much!  ;D

Come to think of it, what about DVD format games?

Interactive movies on DVD, DVD board games, etc.  What counts as a video game; at what point does the line blur and it is not a video game, but something else?

I've been slowly filling out my collection and I come across a problem.

Should I list my UMD Videos?

pros:  I keep them with my PSP games collection, they have the same cases, they are only playable on the PSP-a video game player.

cons:  They aren't video games, nor are they directly video game related.

They don't currently have a separate category here.  Should they have one added?  If I add them to my collection, should I just list them under PSP?  What does anyone else think?

First off, I am brand new to vgcollect, and I like what I've seen so far.  I have a large and ever growing collection of video games, video game merch., and other gaming related items from the common to the eclectic.

I have 30 ebay auctions up currently that house some of these items.  Here are a couple of the highlights:
a few music/rhythm games for the PS2 (Rock Band, Guitar Hero),
two copies of Personal Trainer: Walking, including two pedometers, new and unopened,
various game holders/cases,
a lot of 28 Official U. S. Playstation Magazine demo discs,
several playable games on DVD format, and an interactive DVD movie,
games for oddball systems like the Gamewave and XavixPort,
and the Club Nintendo exclusive Game and Watch Collection 1 and 2 for the DS system(s).

I collect mostly for my own enjoyment, but many of these items are things that I ended up with multiple copies of and this seems to be the perfect place to find someone who would find these things interesting.

There are other items too so if I have piqued your interest please check them all out:

Thank you for your time.
