?

on occasion and when I want to spend money
-
Yes not new games though.
-
Most of the time.
-
Usually. I keep an eye on sales for stuff along with buying new stuff coming out.
-
i don't think a month has gone by since 2010 where I haven't bought at least a few games.
-
Yep. Sometimes it's just a couple things out of the cheap bin at Gamestop, and it's all but never a new release, but I'd wager I get something every month. If all the bills are paid, why not?
-
Mostly, not always, though. Sometimes I focus more on my comic or movie collections.
-
Not intentionally. It just kinda works out that way.
-
I used to buy around 5 or so a month, but getting married and having two kids has slowed that to maybe 1. Even then it's only games released by Limitedrungames that I really want. Right now, I'm holding out for Tales of Vesperia, and Dragon Quest XI.
Anything else is either Steam or PSN sales.
-
Yeah, mostly. I occasionally browse through CEX and the local game shop to get some cheap games or get some games on Steam if they're on sale.
-
Not anymore. The games drop in price so fast these days, other than Nintendo. I’ll wait for them to go down to about $20, then get the 20% off savings from Bestbuy. I’ll buy several at a time, then wait a few months to do it again.
Sometimes if there’s a bunch of preorders I’m interested in, I'll order them all on a single transaction with the 0% financing for 12 months etc. The card doesn’t get charged and the special financing doesn’t begin until the release date.

Since joining this site yes. Not just every month but practically every week.
And it’s all thanks to you friggin enablers.
Theflea, tpugmire, fighterpilot, are the worst.
TPugmire and theflea Helping me find and acquire those hard to find items. Fighterpilot feeding my ego.
The rest of y’all are no help either with your 52 games in one year challenges, monthly pickup threads, entertaining and thought provoking posts. Not to mention the wish list and cataloging features.
My wallet hates you guys and gals so much but inner child in me loves you guys and gals!
Seriously, thanks for everything.
I have acquired everything childhood me ever wanted.
Now I have moved on to what teenage/early adult me wanted. (Arcade and pinball games).
With some notable exceptions I’m slowly falling out of love with (current gen) gaming.
As things trend currently I may abandon “current gen” in another generation or two.

Recently. I make it a habit to buy 2 games a paycheck at least.

Recently. I make it a habit to buy 2 games a paycheck at least.
I have started to budget for one new game a month (full retail price) that I can buy. If there happens to be a month where I have literally no interest whatsoever in any release I'll carry the budget over to the next month for twice as much money.
-
Yes.
-
Sometimes I buy food.
-
My monthly games budget is usually around $100-200
i think i've way overspent that this month tho between the Steam summer sale and the like 6 fricken Switch games i bought recently:[[[
