It's a close tie between Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy VII. If I had to pick just one, it'd be VI because I have more nostalgia for it.

If I ever do reviews of what we love & if I choose to my reviews, opinions, impressions, etc. etc. are going to be honest unbiased reviews, opinions, impressions, etc. etc.

I have my doubts.

Classic Video Games / Re: My SNES collection - June 2020

You've got some great titles there. Goof Troop is actually an amazing puzzle game.

Only about half my collection is CiB, I'm going the same route with my loose carts though and gradually getting them custom cases. I've got a whole stack in cases that are just waiting for me to getting around to printing off the art.

Thanks man! You probably saw one of my older posts here where I was indecisive about what route to continue taking with my collection. And like you said, I’ve decided that for the rest of the loose carts / other games I want to pick up, I will just get the custom cases for them. Im happy with the original boxes I have now, and it just hurts the wallet too much.

I will say though, that I plan on picking up Dr. Mario & Super Mario All Stars. For those, I want the original boxes. You can notmally find decent prices for those two games CIB.

Yeah, I pick up CiB when I can, but if it's going to break the bank to do so, I'd rather go for the loose cart instead and save the money for more games. I'm a long way off right now, but I'd like to have a complete NA SNES collection someday. It would be ridiculously expensive to get everything in original packaging.

Classic Video Games / Re: My "strange" copy of Mega Man X2

I have two copies of Final Fantasy II for SNES. One has the older style front plate on the shell, and the other has the newer style. Both are legit copies with legit labels. As far as I can tell, since Nintendo produced the cart shells and provided them to publishers, they had excess stock of the older style that may have been intermittently sent to publishers even after the newer style became the standard.

General / Re: Gaming Magazines Being Cheap
« on: May 26, 2020, 01:41:28 pm »
There's simply just not as big a market for magazines as there are for games. Old magazines really only appeal to collectors, where the games themselves appeal to both collectors and casual players. While specific issues may be rare and valuable for various reasons, for the most part, old magazines are going to be pretty cheap, especially if they're in anything less than mint condition.
