Hey guys, my Sega CD just crashed, and I'm distraught to say the least :'(
Any chance one of you have an extra that you wouldn't mind parting with for too terribly much? Mine was a gift from my brother at Christmas and he got me a boxed unit and everything, so I'd really just need the base unit. Model 1 or model 2, no preference, just as long as it plays.
Thanks for any help/leads you can give.

I'd suggest asking/trying Mike @ "Collector's Cards and Games".
I've known him personally, for years...and I know that other site-users here have dealt w/ him as well.
He deals in *TONS* of retro games, consoles, handhelds, accessories, etc.
His prices aren't bad, and even more importantly, he does not mis-represent the conditions of anything that he sells.
I'd say that you should give him a try...anything he *doesn't* have - he will either be able to get, or at least, direct you to whatever you're looking for.

@disgaeniac yeah he seems awesome, but does it take him a while to get back with you? i e-mailed him a while ago and havent gotten a response

Call him. He's really a cool guy and someone who I plan to start using for my future game acquires. :)

He sometimes gets busy (he does everything himself), harried, and over-whelmed.
However, iirc, he *does* list a phone number on his site to call him at directly (it's his cell #); and, as Soera mentioned...I think that a call (rather than an e-mail) - would get you a faster response from him.
Also, iirc, he's recently spent 7-10 days, or so working at/doing a gaming Expo/Convention somewhere in PA and was likely swamped!

So umm when you say crashed... what does that mean?
If it doesn't power on then its probably the fuse. Easy fix...
