Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Error Listings and rejected edits 2023

Rejected edit to Analogue Pocket Dock.
https://vgcollect.com/item/168549

The release date was rejected because:
Admin comments: Items shipped and received sometime in 2023. "Fulfillment Group C: 2023" https://store.analogue.co

But this is Group C, so the 3rd fulfillment group. The first one was sent out at the end of 2021, I don't know when the second one was sent out.

All the products had an actual release date of December 2021, but there were a lot of delays because they had trouble getting the correct chips because of COVID.
I managed to get the actual Analogue Pocket in group A, it was sent out to me on December 14th 2021. I didn't order the dock back then, but the dock released at the same time.

I ordered my dock a little after that and got a Group C fullfilment date (so 2023) with that order. I just received my dock a week or 2 ago.

I am sure the original release date was December 13th 2021, just like the Analogue Pocket itself was.

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Developer/Publisher Requests

Publisher: Aniplex Inc.

I am asking for the Japanese PS4 version of the game "Mahoutsukai no Yoru: Witch on the Holy Night"
The Japanese Switch version has the same publisher as well.

The US digital versions of the game are published by their subsidiary Aniplex of America Inc.
They might be needed to be added in the future as well since the game is going to be physically released  in the US at the end of January, but it's probably best to hold off until then.

You can find info on

Developer: COSEN
Publisher: COSEN

Games:
Boku no Kanojo wa Ningyo Hime!?
Boku no Kanojo wa Ningyo Hime!? Refine
Kitsune ga Boku wo Matteiru: The Fox Awaits Me (at least the Japanese versions, not sure about the Korean one)

Info:
https://cosen-net.com/refine/
https://cosen-net.com/fox/
Sorry, those pages are in Japanese, but google translate on スタッフ (staff) and the part past that works quite well.

This was apparently originally a game on mobile, the original dev is Talesshop (who are also mentioned on the release), but COSEN apparently reworked some stuff, so they are the developer of the Switch and PS4 versions.

Some extra info in English from the Western Switch releases (the is no Western PS4 release yet).
This page mentions COSEN as developer and production, but has Sekai Project as a publisher (which isn't the case for the Japanese releases).

Sekai Project isn't mentioned for the Western Switch release of 'The Fox Awaits Me'

Video Game Database Discussion / Re: Duplicate List 2017
« on: August 30, 2017, 11:45:28 am »
Those are stock photos, unfortunately not a proof that something exists. You can put that entry into the database still, but if it turns out that version doesn't exist, then the entry would get removed in the future.
Sure, no problem. I don't really need to have that edition in the DB. I just wanted to remove the duplicate. I don't think most people will buy the non Steelbook version as long as that one is sold, so I expect it to be added later if it exists.
You fixed my problem by removing the entry, so that's fine with me. Thanks for helping!

I don't understand why it was rejected

We can't see everything from the edit panel. Not gods nor mothmen :(

I can't find a picture of the EU regular version for PS4, so unless it is confirmed, it shouldn't be put into the db.
here you go. I uploaded a picture of the regular version (without the blue borders).
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yakuza-Kiwami-Standard-Edition-PS4/dp/B074H2X7PF/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1504106767&sr=8-3&keywords=yakuza+0+ps4

Btw, I understand you can't know and see everything. No harm done. I was somewhat triggered when I wrote my post (not only because of this, some other stuff as well), so I apologize if I was too harsh.

Edit: Found the image without borders:
Got it from the Dutch webshop bol.com:
https://s.s-bol.com/imgbase0/imagebase3/extralarge/FC/9/4/6/9/9200000080019649.jpg
here is the URL to the version: https://www.bol.com/nl/p/yakuza-kiwami-ps4/9200000080019649
You can choose between Standard Edition and Limited Edition.

Edit 2:
I see you deleted the entry.
That's fine with me as well. I am sure people will add it again when the Steelbook editions sell out.
Imo it is fixed now.
Thanks for helping!

Heya mrmette,

I'm going to move this over to our duplicates thread so one of the other admins will see it and be able to address the issue. Thanks for explaining it all! This happens with new releases sometimes. Thanks and welcome to the forums!
Thank you very much. I didn't really know what else to do any more instead of posting it on the forums.
I should have seen this post and posted it here.
I am contributing to the discogs website for some years now, but of course everything is somewhat different here. So I am still trying to figure out how everything works.

So I created Yakuza Kiwami - Steelbook Edition (https://vgcollect.com/item/131585) some days ago.
The other entry was https://vgcollect.com/item/131585 and didn't have Steelbook in it (the picture was that of the steelbook, but the actual item wasn't).
After I created the Steelbook version, somebody else was allowed to change the "normal" version to a Steelbook version.

So I wanted to change my entry to the "normal" version, but apparently this was rejected.

Now there is a duplicate entry (which wasn't there when I created my version, but whatever), which I am not allowed to fix.

Can somebody please have a look at this again.

This should be the "normal", non-steelbook version: https://vgcollect.com/item/131585
This should be the Steelbook version: https://vgcollect.com/item/118855

I already messaged the one other guy who put my original steelbook version in his collection to change to the other one.

I would either delete https://vgcollect.com/item/131585
I don't care anymore, I have the steelbook version anyway, I did it to help the database and remove the duplicate. That other guy WAS allowed to change the title of the other release and created a duplicate that way (when I submitted my release there, there wasn't a Steelbook version) but apparently I am not allowed to change my OWN submission to fix the mess I didn't create.

An other solution (and what I was trying to do) is just change https://vgcollect.com/item/131585 to the "normal", non-steelbook version.

I don't understand why it was rejected, but the way it is now, there is an unnecessary duplicate and apparently I am not allowed to fix/remove it.
