As I hinted before, I wouldn't take em' for free. Seriously. I'd run away from that lot, unless you are able to go cherry pick titles you want for a dollar each. But only if you really know your PS2 stuff.

Disc only, I'd say no way. PS2 is abundant, relatively cheap, and usually complete. Not to mention of 800 unique titles, maybe just maybe 250 - 300 of them would be solid but that's being generous. Lots of filler and junk on PS2. Sounds like most of them are not in good condition, either. The only really valuable PS2 games in a disc only condition would be the survival/horror titles everyone is after, but scratched up, probably only worth about half the average. Everything else is going to be pretty low.

I wouldn't do it. Not even sure that I would take them for free, because just selling that much undesirable stuff is a headache in itself.

I'm at under 50 NES games that I still want. Unfortunately, a few of them are rocketing right now. Chubby Cherrub seems to have gone up another $20 from last year's price, and Faria has probably done about the same. They're both nearing the too expensive territory for me, and neither look like the gameplay is really worth the swelling price tags.

Just saw an NES action set on Craigslist. They guy wants $1500, as in fifteen hundred dollars just because it has the box and styrofoam and was "barely used". Sometimes I wonder about these people, firstly are they just trolling? If not, what planet do they live on?

That thing is worth maybe $100 to $150, not $1500. He actually wants people to call him, if interested. I'd be tempted to post the number if anyone actually wants to let him know that this is planet Earth and it is the year 2015.

I'm ready to make it official that I am done going to flea markets. There just isn't anything left at them anymore, the trips are always wasted. It's way too exhausting and isn't worth the slim chance.

One crazy goal I've been toying with is trying to get every 3D platform game that is not based on any TV or movie franchise.

Picked up the most recent Darkest Hour album. I have mixed feelings about it. They changed up their sound a lot, some of it I like and some I don't. It's actually not the poppy hooks I dislike, it's the heavier parts. Very little melodeath influence going on, and a whole lot more chug-a-chug that what they usually did. They of course threw in some of the ultra low tuned chugging that is so huge right now in metal, ugh. Also some of the screaming is too "core-roar". Henry should stick to his signature style of scream, that is part of what gives them their edge. It's still there, but used more sparingly. The clean singing is sometimes good, sometimes not so good. The super clean production I have mixed feelings about. I can however say that the lyrics are still well written. Definitely some good stuff on here, but I'll have to see if the album grows no me.

Also picked up Undoing Ruin finally. This album is fantastic, it is the album that first got me into them. It's a great listen from start to finish. It's the perfect balance between American metal and melodic death metal. So many high energy, catchy songs. Not too poppy, but not super heavy either.

Picked up the last season of KoQ that I needed. I can't remember which episodes were in this one, so not sure how it stacks up. But I do remember that this is a short season, for whatever reason.

Anyone feel like the so called "real gamers" sometimes are just as narrow-minded as the "bro-gamers" with genres?

I mean, there's the guys that do nothing but play multiplayer FPSes all day, and call themselves hardcore gamers (the "bro" gamers). But at the same time, a lot of the gaming groups/boards I visit seem to talk like 90% about JRPGs.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel a lot of people are missing out on some great games because they get so focused on one type of game. And don't some of you guys get sick of navigating menus or staring at a gun-barrel after a while? I know I like a good platformer or shoot-em up to just let some steam off at times.

Action and/or adventure oriented games are my cream of the crop, and take a back seat to none. So of course I don't consider them any less of game just for being shorter or more linear. I always notice that I am in the minority here. Most of the mainstream crowd is all about shooters, and most of the alternative is JRPG centric. For me it's the other way around, I play a shooter, or a JRPG to take a break from my usual. Everyone is entitled to opinion, but I just hate the attitude of "I don't play crap like that" that goes around a lot.

I think it's a good thing to be well rounded, all types of games can offer something fun. I usually avoid games based on games or sports, but I've had a craving lately find a good put-put golf game.  ???  ;D

Okay, what is Lost Dimension on PS3, and why does no GS carry it?

It's a Japanese RPG that came out in July. It's also out on the Vita. It's pretty good from what I've heard. Seems odd that it's already hard to find.

Closest store to me that has it is 46 miles out. I guess literally no one pre-ordered it in my area, so they never received any stock. No advertisement either, never saw any promo fliers for it.

A lot of stuff like that seems to get quiet releases like this. In my area, I've never seen a copy of J-Stars Victory VS. It released last June and I never even noticed until a few weeks later when somebody mentioned it here.

I noticed there's virtually no promos for anything on the Vita at GS. All of the import titles that came this year were also unbeknownst to me. Some GS locations don't carry any of them, some carry a bunch of newer ones.

In other news, I've lost it and started going through my collection inspecting games for condition. I'm a little disappointed. I mean, for a lot of them a hard case upgrade will suffice, but there's a few that are almost where I need to just re-buy completely. On the bright side at least I have a local source where I can get sealed Xbox and PS2 sport games a couple bucks each to use for upgrades.

Finally found Tales of Vesperia for the 360 @GS. Time to play this game.

I actually see that one at a lot of GS stores.

I've spent the morning sealing up all of my PS2 games that I am the original owner of, using those resealable baggies. I'm not too picky on condition when I game hunt, but I'll admit I do love a mint condition game. All of my originals are mint, and I want to keep them that way. I like these bags a lot, they give a nice shine to the cover. I'm gonna get some for my carts, and other types of games.
