Title: ScrewAttack Gaming Con
Post by: sin2beta on May 15, 2013, 05:58:32 pm
I know we have a lot of OKC people. Anyways, anyone planning on going to SGC in Dallas? I would have just moved there, so I am definitely planning on it. I just found out about it from Pat the NES Punk's youtube. If anyone is making it out there, hit me up.

I live in the area, and I've been debating whether or not to go, mostly for financial reasons. Still, I would love to see Adam Sessler in person. It sounds like a lot of fun.

wish I could go :-\ I am going to atleast one Convention this year... Does anyone know if dragon-con is good? My friend goes, he loves it... I know it's for a lot more then just video games but do they have retro gamers at these?? not meaning to change subject.. But I felt this was a good place to ask.

One week away... I'm probably going to stop by right after work Friday (want to go to game collecting panel with Pat the NES Punk, the Game Chasers and Mike Matei). I plan on going all day Saturday (AVGN Panel). I don't know if I'll go Sunday... depends on if I want to do any haggling in the dealer room.

If anyone else is in the area or coming down. Texas Retro Gamers Society is holding an event at the Barcade (arcade with alcohol) on saturday from 8 until midnight. 1917 N Henderson Ave, Dallas, TX 75206 That place is usually packed on the weekend. But could be a nice nightcap from screwattack.

I wish I could go anywhere during construction season. It's hard for me to get very far away during the summer.  I wish I could make it. Let us know how it is. Kick the RetrowareTV guys in the dick for me. Tell them it's from an R-Dub.

I'm going for sure. Also, if you are going, we're going to have a little RGS gathering at Barcadia tomorrow evening. If anyone wants to join us there just let me know (or just show up and find me).

Also, feel free to come say hi at the con. We're not doing a booth but we'll be there.

I saw David pop in to the con today. I definitely plan to go to the barcade.

The first day was pretty cool. Not much in the vendor room. Plus, everything is insanely high. I don't understand the prices at all. Someone was selling Sonic Adventure 2 for $45. I also saw an import of Fighters Megamix for $15... insane!

But the panels were fairly fun. I got to see a lot of the collectors I've followed on youtube and such. It was good. But I definitely don't think I will go Sunday. Aside from panels... meh.

Ha, yeah. I've heard from a TON of people that they expect more at Super! BitCon next year from us as far as vendors go. Rest assured, there will be more vendors at our event. SGC was a ton of fun though!

Sorry if anyone was wanting to hangout. We were really busy running around and meeting people!

ScrewAttack Gaming Convention has been announced for 2014! Registration is not available yet. But it is July 11-13 in the great city of Dallas. This is seriously a great time! I was skeptical but SGC 2013 made me a believer. You meet so many cool people. The dealer room sucks, but the have a freeplay arcade room!
