Damn I really need to purchase something this month :'(

Since I started collecting retrogames a few years ago I always longed for owning a copy of Phantasy Star II for the european SEGA Megadrive ... this month I didn't want to wait for it any longer and got it! Feels great to slowly achieving every piece that I feel is a must-have in my gaming-room :) can't wait to play it.
For it's a quite expensive game, that gotta be it for this month. 'nough money spent ... :o

I'm interested in Horizon 2 but not at $70. I'll be waiting for a price drop on that one. I'll probably be picking up Destiny 2's Witch Queen expansion later in the month if that counts as adding to the collection.

My only local pawn shop, the only place that sells retro games is closing :'(.

Next closest shop is nearly 400km away (~4 hours drive) but will plan a trip sometime soon when I can.

I've recently started buying Final Fantasy IX related items and am mostly focusing on print material. Hopefully I can get more US releases soon, but I'm in no hurry. Just for magazines alone, I've identified over 40 items worldwide. I'd like to import some, but shipping costs are way too expensive to justify a purchase.

And here it is! A guy who belongs to a local Facebook collecting group posted a ton of CIB N64 games he was selling, many of which he's had since the 2000s. They weren't cheap, but they were better than ebay prices at least. I'm bowing out of the the CIB games scene for a while, at least until the end of this year after this one.

I added the PSN version of Grip to the collection. It's a spiritual successor to the PS1 racer... Rollcage. Fun arcade racer and Sony had it on sale from $50 to $7. Definitely worth it.

Shmup Collection on Nintendo Switch was on sale for only $7.49!
And I learned they did a modern release of Power Slave, the ridiculously expensive Saturn FPS/Metroidvania mash-up. I've always wanted to play that one, and now I finally get to. Got it on my Xbox Series X.

Did some Valentines Day game hunting and was rewarded heavily for it! Manhunt was a pretty standard price, but Twisted Metal was priced at about a third of what the jewelcase version goes for online, and ESPN was about half priced.

And here is that deal! A local collector grabbed these for me at a thrift store that's about 50 miles away. He wasn't going to get them originally, but after posting them in a facebook collectors group to see if anyone else wanted them, I arranged for him to buy them and for me to essentially pay what he paid + a finders fee. In all I paid $150 for all these and I am through the roof excited about adding these to my big box PC game collection!
