I like how he doesn't know what he's talking about. He said our site seems to get its info from Amazon so there's not many vintage PC or Japanese titles. BEEZT, Wrong.

Yeah, i didn't agree with that info part either since thanks to the huge amount of members on this site, and people that specialize in that, there are a lot of entries in those two fields. I'm just guessing he did a general overview of the site, and may have not taken the time to check everything out.

Love his videos, being that I'm both a gamer and metal-head myself.
I'm sure his mistake was an honest one. He comes off as a genuine guy.

Nice, but ya... the only reason he prolly thinks we get our info from Amazon is likely because of the Buy links... lols.
The beauty of VGCollect is that it's 100% user updated, so the only reason why we'd be low on titles from various regions would be because we don't have an audience there.

I was watching the video from metal jesus and start judge all the pages he mention myself, and this is the best of all (at least the best free).
I can finally made a list of all my games + a wish list for the ones i want, so don´t be rude to metal jesus anyone can make a mistake and he give the site free publicy so we all won.
P.D: starting tomorrow to update all my collection, so exciting!!

Agree with him and it seemed like he liked this site a lot aside from the fact that you have to be extremely specific when searching for items (damn you THPS games!).

I actually just went and watched the video. Very nice video. What's weird tho', is even as a member, I never even noticed how the colon can make a difference on searching games. Maybe because I would browse by system for the most part, so that was interesting. Is that true tho', that the games search relies on Amazon????

He does, I saw his account name show up in the admin panel a week or so ago.
That would be cool if he came on the forums and chatted with us and stuff.

I think it would be cool to see MetalJesus interact with us here, too (at least on this thread). But I imagine between making his videos, being in a band, and I'd imagine he also has a job like anyone else (he's not exactly an A-lister celeb); he'd be a busy guy.

like I commented on his video, this site is the best site out there because of the way it looks (catalog, image for each game etc) and also very user friendly (easy to manage and you can add whatever you want). The cons are when you are browsing with your mobile phone that you need to go page by page to find if the game you have it or not (there isnt option to see the catalog etc). Maybe Im wrong in this but is the only complain that I have, other than that is the best page to keep track your collection :3

I do agree that having to be specific with the titles in the search can be annoying but no big deal. It shows with anything that starts with "The" like THE Legend of Zelda has to be "Legend of Zelda,The" and can be confusing to some people. But again, no big deal.

Same here. Always looked for a useful and good looking website/database - aaand with a nice community ;D The database doesn't really contains all the games that I primarily collect (all sorts of mid europe pal games) but since the submission of new entries is so easy to use, that not really a problem. Nice website and forums - thanks for the hint MetalJesus 8)

I finally watched his video. Of course I have to agree with the search issue, but I used to have the same problem with RF Generation. You would search the correct name with no results. What is it about built in search functions? Why do they only find exact entries and cannot suggest similar results?
Another one he didn't mention is an Android app called VG Collection Tracker, which reminds me of the VG Collect site version only on mobile. It retrieves cover arts through Google Image Search. You can also input completion / hours played, etc, and give each game a personal rating. It's a good app for free, but like Metal mentioned about the iPhone app, apps are pain to work with when they're this complex and time consuming.

My biggest problem with Metal Jesus (and the reason why I eventually unsubbed to him) is because he doesn't seem to know that much about gaming. He compensate for his lack of knowledge about games, especially consoles and handheld games, by having guests on his show that know leagues more then he does. He seems like a cool guy, but he seems highly under qualified to discuss "hidden gems" and other games of that nature when he doesn't seem to know that much about the games in the first place. I think he should focus on PC gaming since that seems to be his forte.
