So, a little bit back I saw a pretty good deal on the Growlancer: Generations Deluxe Edition.  After shipping it was around $42 for Like New condition, but we were worried because other dealers were putting up the 'game only' in the deluxe edition... we bit anyway.  It came in the mail today, and it was SEALED.  There was a small dent in the box, but holy crap, was I happy.  Obviously, it came with everything, including the watch and whatnot.  :3  The Power Ring came with three yellow jewels (it's kinda random what jewels you get in it), so it doesn't look funny either!  I feel a little bad about opening it, though. :(

Actually, I have the opposite... I never had any allergies to speak of as a kid, but now that I've gotten older, I suddenly DO.  Like dogs.  I wasn't allergic to dogs when I was younger, but somewhere in my teens it just... well, popped up, and now I can't be around dogs for too long with allergies flaring up.  I'm more of a cat person, but still, it's weird.

Uh, well, it's not surprising.  I mean, Kojima always says 'this'll be the LAST MGS, I SWEAR GUYS', then makes another one.  As long as it's good, then cool!  If it's not, then not cool!  Of course, MGS5 will be a while down the line, probably.

I was hoping Capcom would give Mega Man the same treatment Street Fighter got for its 25th anniversary, which was a really nice set that included, you guessed it, soundtracks, but I guess not.

That's because Capcom doesn't really care about Mega Man anymore, it seems. WHERE'S MY MEGA MAN LEGENDS 3, JERKS.
Pft, where's any sort of Mega Man game, for that matter?  Capcom's really dropping the ball for the Blue Bomber's birthday.

Found Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS at a Gamestop for $13 while pre-ordering another game.  I assume it's a decent deal, seeing the used Amazon prices, and it being the first time I've actually seen the game somewhere, so I snatched it up.  Now I need Battle Network 3 and 4... and 6 and 7 too.  xD

Ah, Minecraft, it's been a while since I last booted it up.  I was kinda weird about it; I'd throw the game in Peaceful Mode and go around exploring caverns and stuff.  Sure, you could do that in Normal Mode, but I didn't really like the fact that I could die at anytime.  Instead, I had a ton of fun exploring what the world already created for me, finding caves and neat things.  I stopped, however, since I was stuck in a pretty maze like cavern for 2+ days and couldn't find the way out for any reason.  I was going to just start digging up, but then I never logged in again. *shrug*

Let's see... Dragon Warrior III is one.  Haven't played it in quite a while, but I still now most of the game inside-out... and I still love it!

There's also Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

I'd say I'm almost to that point with Mega Man X as well, but... well, I'm pretty damn bad at all the Mega Man games, and that one's no exception, despite the fact I've beaten that game 4+ times already.

Let's see... My boyfriend was down in Orlando for the week, and he was able to look around the gaming stores... of course, there wasn't anything around, unfortunately.  He did, however, get a little Bob-Omb toy with candy in it... a nice little thing to add to my 'Mario candy thing' collection... I have all the mushroom colors and the ? block, so yay for something new~

After he got back, we went over to the non-Gamestop game store in our town... we picked up Shadows of the Damned (PS3) for $20, and I grabbed Bomberman Max 2: Red Advance for $5.  The latter, I played the first long ago and enjoyed it... so I'd figure to give the sequel a try.  :)

When Gaiages mentioned the Shin Megami games a while back, and mentioned DemiKids, it got me thinking. I didn't have either of the DemiKids games! A GameStop search found that if I could find one that had it in stock, it was WAY cheaper than Amazon or eBay. Well, every time I've gone anywhere, I've searched GameStop's site for the area I was going to...

A little detour from visiting my parents yesterday resulted in getting DemiKids: Dark Version at 75% off their already ridiculous low price. So I paid $1. Another $2.50 got me Yggdra Union and $2.50 for Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. So three Atlus GBA games for $6.
Nice!  Actually, that's how I got Demikids: Light Version... Saw it at a Gamestop when they were trying to get rid of GBA games, and I think I paid like $1.50 for it.  I also got Advance Wars and... something... else, I can't remember, that day.  Good old inventory purging! :)

I'll be honest, I'm very particular about my collection and who can borrow stuff, so I've never lost anything.  My roommate, on the other hand, has some interesting stories... like the time he thought he lost Tales of Symphonia, to the point that he bought another copy, only to find it two years or so later when he went to go play his GC Resident Evil... RE is still missing, though!  xD  There was also when he was moving in, he realized he had three copies of Sonic Adventure DX.  THREE!  Guess who got a free game out of that deal?  xD

It's getting down to the end of the Club Nintendo coin year, so this new news about changing coin values for 7/1 might be of use in case you have items yet to register:

https://club.nintendo.com/coin-values.do?eid=ClubN6122012NoneNoneClubNsurveychange_group5
Huh, odd that some of the coin values are actually going UP for 3DS games... I was saving typing in OoT 3D and Super Mario 3D Land for the next Club year, to help for the 2013 Platinum, and now I'm happy I did!  xD

A little sad the eShop games seem to be dropping to 5 coins, though... less for the actual coin value, though, and moreso because then my coins might end up uneven!  I like nice, round numbers! :(

General / Re: Download Only & Collection Tracking
« on: June 13, 2012, 03:55:16 pm »
So basically, do you feel download only games are on the same level as physical copies?

I've never really thought the two are on the same level, no.  However, I still include games I have on Steam, or digital games on my consoles, in my collection.  I'm always one to prefer Physical stuff over digital when it comes to my gaming... but I think a lot of consoles are going to be very digitally focused in the future, so it's something I suppose I'll have to get used to.  Also, it's far more cost and space effective, which is something that's great for me.  As for why I add them to my collection, and those over ROMs... Even though they are data, I still legally own them, and paid for them.  Technically, you cannot legally own a ROM of a game without owning the game... and why would you track a ROM if you already own the physical game?  The only difference between the two is simply the actual right to own them.

While I'm a little worried about how digital games are going to work out on future consoles, I'm not too worried about its status on computers, though.  Steam does a very fine job or tracking purchases and your account information, and with the huge following/users they have, I don't think they'll close shop anytime soon.  Of course, that day is bound to happen at one point, but that's something I'll worry about when that time comes.

Got Gungnir today!  Thank goodness I pre-ordered the game... Apparently none of the Gamestops in town were going to stock the game except for the one that ALL the way on the other side of town (and that was a maybe, not even for certain)... so the other stores only get the pre-order copies.  I was the only one to pre-order at a certain store... and because of that, it took them like half an hour to find the darn game.  But hey, got the game (still sealed, thank goodness they didn't gut it for selling it!) and now I don't have to worry trying to grab it later... unlike the rest of the PSP Sting games.  :p

Did it come w/ any pre-order bonuses/extras?

Also, looking forward to what you think of the game once you get around to playing it :P
Nah, no extras or anything, I just pre-ordered because I was a little worried about finding it since the PSP is pretty dead already in the eyes of gaming stores.

And I'll let you know, though my backog is pretty darn large already, so it'll probably take a while to get around to it.  xD

Sorry for the bad phone camera picture, but I thought I'd share.

Picked up the Zelda DS Lite yesterday. Local used game store just puts $80 on all their DS Lites, no matter what version. This one has the original gold stylus and the original gold Slot-2 cover, so I couldn't resist. They go for slightly cheaper on eBay sometimes, but they're never complete like this, and it's in almost perfect shape. Put it with my Zelda 3DS to show my Facebook friends and used the same photo, hence the 3DS at the bottom.

Nice on the DS! :D
