I think ESPN games were also non standard.

The LED never goes completely off, and I guess that is what I don't like. I like for consoles to appear to be in a non power consuming off state before I unplug them.

I couldn't remember. I see no physical off switch on it, just the power button which goes red once it powers down. I remember the Wii also had no switch, but it had two modes, one where it the disc drive would light up and the other was a power down with just the yellow light. I just feel weird about yanking the plug while the console is technically "on", even while off.
With consoles like PS2 and PS3, you have a physical switch that completely powers off before pulling the plug, and as for the Xbox and 360, while they don't have a power switch, at least they appear to completely shut off once you hit power. So Nintendo is the weird one, there is no switch, but the console stays lit and can still do things while in "off" mode.

Psychonauts (PS2) - this is FINALLY back in my collection!
I recently tried that game out for the first time. I've heard a lot of high praise about it, but I didn't like it. I found the art style and writing similar to that of a late 90s early 2000s Nickelodeon cartoon, and definitely not in a good way. Gameplay and environments were less than whimsical and that just won't do in a platformer for me. Maybe it was one of those had to be there type games? It's praised like a cult classic, but I don't see it.

I notice a lot of them where non-standard carts. The reason I ask, is because I'm interesting in knowing which ones to look out for just to rob the cases, so that I can box my loose Genesis. The problem is, of course, so many non-standard cartridges with sports.

To me, it is oversized LE game boxes. I only have so much display room, so the rest of these bulky size disproportionate things get stuffed where ever they might fit. This is why is try to avoid LE versions. They're too disruptive to flow of standard editions, and I don't have much room to display them elsewhere.

Well, I finally got a classic PS3 60 GB (fully backwards compatible) console. In addition, a whole mess of various games as I already posted pics of.
I also got a wide format printer to make things a bit more convenient for myself, as I am currently working on the project of reproduction boxes for my classic games.

Yeah, it's great so far. The only thing is the Watnot book guy, he wants to spoil every puzzle for you and it's tempting.
