Thank you for spreading the news but I also hate you for creating a bigger hole in my wallet.

Haha, maybe you'll be less mad when you get the game in your hands 8)

Now having a hard time to find a copy over here in The Netherlands, all sold out. Damn switching to fleabay!
-
3 - 5 dutch shops have the game. I used beslist.nl to find them.

Is this a game worth buying? I've played the demo for the first game, but I wasn't very interested at that time since I had gotten a bit burnt out of rhythm games at that point. I'm looking to see if the song selection in the game is worth putting money down on the CE.

You can never go wrong with FF music... thats my opinion.

That's certainly true, I'm just wondering how good the rhythm gameplay complements the songlist. Looking back at my preorders, I may have to pick it up at a later date since I've got too much other stuff I already need to buy.

The biggest appeal to the FF collector is that this CE is limited to 5000 copies and was only available from Square-Enix's online store. It was sold out for while before the actual release date.
I tried the demo at PAX and really enjoyed how they updated it from the first game. I felt like like the first title in the series wasn't super strong, but the music was good, and that's usually enough for FF fans.
I'm not a big FF person, but I enjoy rhythm games and gameplay-wise I felt it was lacking.
The sequel implements some newer stuff and the visuals looked pretty good. I have yet to crack open the CE but I will probably do so soon.
If you don't need all the extra goodies housed with this CE, it'd be fine to skip/wait for this game to get cheaper. I'm just a big CE person, ha. ::)
