I finally managed to get a good setup for my laptop to record mame.
Here's a quick vid to start things off; this is the arcade Contra :

Great video man, thanks for sharing =) Im currently in the throws of trying to setup a Mame machine for myself!

Nice, can't wait to see how it looks when its finished.  MAME is a great program for playing 2d arcade games; I'd also suggest adding on other emulators for 3d arcade games as well.

Here's an Assault Plus 1cc:

This is an Japan only expansion pack to the original Assault, but can be played w/ a special code in Namco Museum Vol.4. This version is more difficult, and has a nasty last stage, but I somehow managed to pull through after losing my extra lives!
