Love this show. The best of rock and metal from the 80s, hosted by Dee Snider, every Saturday night!
Quite possibly Alice Cooper's greatest song:

While not metal, you do know that the solo to "Beat It" was done by Eddie Van Halen.

That is awesome. He's definitely one guy I want to see before he's done completely. I've heard he has one of the best stage-shows in the business.

Definitely a great show, dude really gets the audience into it and he still gives a great performance despite being old as shit. That show was particularly awesome because Iron Maiden played just after :P
But yeah, if he's giving a show near you definitely go, you won't regret it.

That is awesome! I saw Iron Maiden, by themselves, in Sacramento. It was freaking epic. Bruce Dickinson is the best stageman I've personally seen in-concert. They are freaking legendary live!
I've never heard of this game before but this cover makes me want to import it.

I have been on a Deftones kick again lately, I am anticipating the new album that will be dropping this fall! I also enjoyed the latest release from 10 Years which came out in April.
Recently got an album at our local art fair of an artist (can't remember the name exactly) who plays the chapman stick. It's basically a guitar that you tap to make the sounds, so it plays like a piano but sounds like a guitar. You can play the melody and background with both hands. The artist is doing some Beatles covers, it's pretty cool!Vince Gauraldi is considered one of the greats of West Coast jazz, and it's interesting to see how writing music for the Charlie Brown specials helped keep him finanically stable at a time where most of the other West Coast jazz musicians( except for Burbeck for a time) were struggling because of changing tastes. I think his latin jazz works are probably the best examples of his work.
EDIT: Bought a Vince Guaraldi greatest hits CD at a GoodWill for $1. He's one of my favorite artists, known mostly for the music during the Charlie Brown specials, but also does some amazing jazz, latin and general "coffee house" sounding music. :)
I normally listen to electronic music, but for some reason I'm listening to Megadeth's Peace Sells, But Who's Buying at the moment.I approve of this.

Man, I keep forgetting how great Takushi Hiyamuta( Hiya!) is as a composer. I really enjoy his work on Metal Slug 1-3, and in Undercover Cops. I believe he worked on Armed Police Gallop as well.
I'm listening to Leitmotif by dredg right now.
Just realized I hadn't ever really listened to anything from Rammstein's first album as I got into them when they went huge over here with Sehnsucht and had only heard the one prominent song from it "Rammstein". Remedying that now as I was hearing some more intense guitar work on this one it seemed. Heck, Weisses Fleisch even has a guitar solo on it! lol

Rammstein has a lot of terrific stuff on all their albums! Some of my favorites are Mein Teil and Reise Reise from Reise Reise. Check out the Volkerball live album/DVD set. Their live performance is friggin' amazing on there! And you can YouTube their live video for the song "pu$$y" where the singer Till is manning a giant cannon that is not so discretely phallic-shaped, spewing a white foamy substance all over the audience. Quite entertaining. :o
Iron Maiden-the Book of Souls. It's a double album of ass-kicking, classic Maiden. Check out the video for Speed of Light. Eddie travels through various eras of gaming starting out in the 8-bit era and ending in the modern FPS.

Megadeth's new song.
A lot of ZZ top!

Sooooo. . .I might get some major shit for this, but this band is something I never knew I wanted until I discovered them last night. I've never been a huge JPOP or Metal fan, but who'd of thought if you combined the two is would produce something so amazing. Have been rocking out so hard to their music today my ears are ringing right now lol.
For fans of Chevelle, Evans Blue, Breaking Benjamen, maybe Deftones... A very under-appreciated melo hard rock band. I really wish these guys would drop another album. They were working on one, but went quiet over a year ago now. :-\
First two albums of the year for me have been just awesome. Megadeth came back with a quality metal album and I think Anthrax definitely improved on Worship Music with "For All Kings". Testament, Overkill, and others might have some kickass albums this year, so I'm hoping this year is gonna be way better after last year, which I thought was mostly terrible outside of like...Ghost's newest release.
One of the best soundtracks ever, if not the best ever.

Not bad... not bad at all! In fact, the OST really makes me wanna try out the game.

It's worth a try if you like RPGs. Even if you aren't it's pretty beginner friendly. Easily in my top 5 PS3 games. It isn't too expensive either.
Thanks, that sneaky 's' [!!]

Pre-ordered the new Chevelle album (so I could get an autographed copy). Came with a download of a new song, Joyride.

Been on a Amon Amarth kick as of late. I played the Twilight of the Thunder God album all day at work yesterday. Apparently Heavy Metal about Vikings is my thing right now.

I'm so in love with Maria Brink. That video, "Forever"...oh yeah.
^ I'm just hearing about "Blackgaze" (or post-black metal) bands like that.
I used to LOVE Black Metal. But then decided that since it's so overtly sacrilegious, that I probably should listen to some other metal.
Is blackgaze pretty anti-God like most Black Metal bands are?
I'm not sure. I'm a Christian, but music doesn't bother me too much. I don't think I've read anything anti-God from Deafheaven. I don't really keep tabs on other post-black metal bands. I like Bosse-de-Nage a lot, though. Oathbreaker is okay, but my ears eventually get tired of the female vocals.
I'm not religious anymore, haven't been for years, but one metal band I still like that I picked up when I was is Tourniquet. My youth pastor showed them to me. Nowadays, they are usually way too preachy, but the music is still top notch and they've had a number of good guest musicians on albums and they stretch all the way back to the early 90's with their albums which are generally about religion or against animal cruelty. I'd recommend them.
This is one of the many songs I still like.

EDIT:
It's almost an hour later, 12am right now, can't fall asleep, so I'm listening to some Boston.
Listening to some Hiatus Kaiyote. Very awesome Australian Hip Hop/R&B band
Reel Big Fish - Candy Coated Fury
I should be sleeping, but I'm not. Usually music helps me fall asleep, but it ain't working...
