Title: Many English gamers here?
Post by: mollyellen1996 on January 13, 2015, 03:18:12 pm
Hello everyone! I'm new here!

Just a quick question, are many of you gamers from England?  :D  ;D

Thanks!

Haha, that reminds me that one of the founders of the site, Scott, accidentally bought a EU copy of one of the Etrian Odyssey games and was so dismayed by how boring the spine was compared to the NA spines, he caved and bought NA copies to be consistent.

Sometimes JP spines can be boring, too - what gives!  Why does everything have to look like a bootleg?

Haha, it wasn't just because of the spine. I also have Tingle's Rosey Rupeeland too. It was mostly because the other 2 Etrian Odyssey games have super cool box art and the EU version was kinda "meh"...

So now I have 2 copies and the NA version is sealed, while the EU version has my save on it.

I like that they're nice and consistent, even if they are a bit boring looking. That's why I like the look of North American XBone game spines. They look boring by themselves, but they look nice all lined up together.

I suppose I see what you mean there, but when it comes to things like PS3 they still have the boring writing on some games (namely PS Exclusives and Ubisoft games) but keep the logos and such for other games, so there's not even consistency :/Same thing goes for GameCube game, some have logos and some have text, it's ludicrously annoying D:
