After a bit of a dry spell locally I found a pretty nice haul. Finally located a Robin amiibo at a Gamestop sorta out of the way, and also finally found Zoids Assault. I'd been looking for a little over a year I think.
Not quite, it does have a story though. :P I found it at a pawn shop, and it didn't have a price. So I ask the guy how much he is wanting for it, and he hits me with the always fun "I'll have to check it on the internet." So at this point I'm just like oh well, he comes back and says 16$. I wasn't going to question it so I just said ok, paid and left. I was fairly certain it wasn't a repro from just looking at the label and it had a rental sticker on the back so I took the chance. I checked the board when I got home and sure enough it is legit. I go and check the sold listings on Ebay and the whole first page is just repro carts that had sold for around 16~18$. My guess is he went off that, so I was just at the right place at the right time. That's still dope.

ugh I still have never seen a copy of this anywhere in the wild. one day.... one day...
^ It isn't $400 rare, no, not by any means. But it is rare. Nintendo didn't consider it a success due to it's low sales numbers. So there's not as many copies out there of it as say Donkey Kong Country or Star Fox.
The reason you see it for sale as often as you do is because people often need money and it's a guaranteed seller.
But again, it's not THAT rare. I mean, it's not Hagane.
Chrono Trigger is amazing, Final Fantasy III is amazing, Breath of Fire of really good...Earthbound is meh at best, especially in comparison.
(http://i.imgur.com/1wnzRGT.jpg)The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls is actually a pretty decent game, it's got a very good fan translation and I get Link's Awakening vibes playing it.

It doesn't need to be Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger to be great. It is own awesome game. But certainly not worth $1,000(more or less, give or take). I heard back in the day it went on clearance for $30 in retail because it didn't sell. NOW everybody wants this game. I'm glad I kept my copy I got back in '96.- Earthbound

That really surprises me, especially if you live near a large metro area. Contrary to popular belief, the game is not rare, hell I'd say at most it is borderline uncommon. The only reason it goes for the price it does is fanboys going on the message boards in the late 90s and early 2000s and saying how insanely good this game is. Chrono Trigger is amazing, Final Fantasy III is amazing, Breath of Fire of really good...Earthbound is meh at best, especially in comparison. If you haven't played it I'd recommend the $10 for it on the eShop to see if you actually like it. I found a copy of it at a thrift store in 2012 for $5, played it and really could not see what all the fuss was about and sold it.
I got a new Dreamcast game today. Sword of the Berzerker.
I got if for the low low price of the hookup. Holla if ya hear me!
A fellow VGCer sent me a gift. Appreciate it, my friend.
Also, on a more humorous note, I seem to be cursed in trying to get the game Turbo: Super Stunt Squad (a game for that snail racing movie) for the 360. This is now the third time I've purchased it online only to have something happen to the package along the way. Ah, well. It's not like I'm running low on 360 titles to buy quite yet.
Maybe the shipping employees mistook it for the wii u version and stole the package for a quick flip ::), It is apparently a pretty pricy game for the wii u especially in the US
3 times is quite allot and for the 360 not really a game that sellers want to scam with, It's a waste of time. Doesn't seem like pure (bad)luck to me if that would happen 3 times with the same game.
