I've always wanted one of these. To me it seems like the Roll-Royce of Pong-Consoles complete with the shiny, triangle carts. It has a light-gun even!
i would not call this a pong console because pong consoles are the plug and play tv games of the 70s and this uses cartridges,
instead i would call bizarrely designed home console with the capabilities of the rca studio 2

the studio 1 was the name of the prototype that they had in there engineering department and for some reason they thought naming the finished product as a sequel to the prototype was a good idea but overall, this is an example bad timing and if this system was released 1 or 2 years before 1977, would have been more successful and fondly remember

i do a bit of both, i buy games, consoles & computers for the experience and to preserve gaming/computing history, the games i tend to play the most are from the 90s but this should come to no surprise since i was born in 95

I saw this on http://memphis.craigslist.org/vgm/4422954832.html

So, I sent an email asking for pics of the board, and I got this.

Makes me want to use the F-word.
i kind of surprised that counterfeit cart has only now become a problem collectors but at least they are easy to spot also this is gonna be a pain in the ass nintendo and genesis collectors because now we will have to ask a seller for a pic of the circuit board

i know jim sterling is a bit of controversial figure in the gaming community but he recently got insider information on the gaming industry and this info scares me, it almost sounds like what happened with the 1983 crash

most games from the 7th generation are ugly, things have gone more shiny and detail but so much of looks the same, the same muted color palette and the same trying to hard to be realistic, whatever happened to exaggerate character models that isn't just big muscles or big boobs, whatever happened to environments that are not even close to ones that we have on earth.

i play games for fantasy not for reality but it seems like game developers and publishers now a days, wants to make evarything familiar to us
