People probably can't decide how to spend their tax returns.

Anyhoo, starting the month with a small batch for the 360:

Jillian Michaels Fitness Adventure
MUD: FIM Motocross World Championship
Qubed

I also picked up a new Xbox One controller and went with the Minecraft Creeper one. Looks really nice in-person.

Finally, my made a few big purchases for my board/card game collection:
Game of Thrones Catan
Scythe

New thread for April!

Is the market shrinking? No posts until the 5th? What's happening????

I've actually gotten a lot (for me), I've just kind of stopped posted in the acquired threads because I'm lazy.

Got a PSP 2001, but a lot of you know that after my post in the General Thread. Came with a charger cord and memory stick. And I picked up a component cable for it.

With it I got:
-Brothers in Arms: D-Day (came with the system, likely will end up as a trader)
-Capcom Classics Remixed
-Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles
-God of War: Chains of Olympus
-God of War: Ghost of Sparta
-Sega Genesis Collection
-Ys Seven: Oath in Felghana

I also recently got:
-Armored Core 4 (Xbox 360)
-Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends (PS2)
-Ninja Gaiden (NES)
-Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES)
-Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360)
-Tales of the Abyss (3DS)
-Wild Arms (PS1)
-Wild Arms 2 (PS1)
-Wild Arms 3 (PS2)
-WWE Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain (PS2) - Last one in the series before it went to Smackdown vs. Raw
-Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter

And I got a two-issue comic book series of Wolfenstein that was really cool.

I used to own the 2 Ninja Gaiden games, had to replace them.

I know, i get like this too. Sometimes I will pool items before I take a picture, or don't post that I got them until a couple weeks later. I've been actively trying to keep a log of what I got in 2018, so at the end of the year I'll have an Imgur album with everything in it I can publish.

Picked up Skyrim: Legendary Edition last night from GameStop after taking advantage of their 50%-70% extra credit (I think it may be only in California, because it's not on their website, and California is excluded from the website promotion of same cash as credit).

My first reaction are: "MODS! Fantastic!" But then I jump into the main-story to beef up my character and earn a few achievements first (no achievements if you use mods), and I'm not noticing much difference in graphics between my original XBox 360 version and this XBox One version.

Keio flying squadron I remember years ago when I added keio flying squadron 2 to the collection expecting a shoot em up. Man was I dissapointed that there were so few shoot em up sections It was actually a platformer game with some shoot em up sections on the side wich look great. Still a solid platfomer though. As far as the mega CD shoot em ups goes not as hard to come by as the US version but still one of the more pricy titles in europe not complaining   ;D

Didn't expect to own this not for a decent price anyways.

So someone had this very poorly listed I was kinda generous with my offer since it wasn't even videogame related or the word mario mentioned anywhere.

So for 60 euro's shipping included I got myself a nice piece plastic. The seller did a very nice packing job though Pretty impressive since It's pretty fragile and hard to ship without any damage.

Super mario world store sign Unfortunately not double sided but I'm only looking at one side and I'm okay with the price I paid It's a very nice display piece for the collection to say at the very least  ;D

Like several have said before me, I have just been too lazy and distracted to post my recent adds.  Here's some most recent adds from a convention I went to in Washington.

I also recently picked up Dragon Force (not pictured) for Saturn which is awesome, I've been playing it every free moment I got.

Just added a new console to the collection and still hunting more to complete my PS1 collection and rare Wii titles.

XBone
- Farcry 5 - Gold Edition
- Burnout Paradise Remastered

SWITCH
- Penny Punching Princess - Limited Edition

3DS
- The Alliance Alive - Launch Edition

VITA
- Yomawari: Midnight Shadows - Limited Edition

Wii
Continuing my search for rare and uncommon games for Wii I found a few really rare ones and some I just found cheap and obscure enough to buy.
- Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
- Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball (the name alone sold me) lol
- Puzzle Kingdoms
- The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft
- Kidz Sports Ice Hockey
- Kidz Sports International Soccer (A VGcollector suggested to get the Kidz Sport games so I did, Think I spent $4 for the pair.)
- Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings
- Deer Drive Legends (very rare)
- Veggy World (SUPER RARE)

NDS
Used points I earned at my local used game store to get this for free.
- Dragonball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu

PSP
My local used game store got in a huge stack of PSP games, They where way under priced and I found three I had to get.
- Dead of Alive Paradise
- Gitaroo Man Lives!
- The Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean

PS2
- Inysasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask (used points at my local game store and got it free)

PS1
Picked up a few more Long Box PS1 games to get a complete PS1 collection, down to only missing 18 games.
My local used game store got in a bunch and I picked out a few I was missing or needed an upgrade.
- WWF Wrestlemania the Arcade Game (i have this in my collection, but I don't have to long box version.)
- Loaded (My disc looked beatup and this was perfect and free) :P
- Project Raiden (it was like brand new and in a lot better shape then mine)
- Novastorm
- Criticom

GEN
My local used game store got in some CIB genesis games and I found two I was missing.
- Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego?
- Galahad
Also I ordered a reproduction of one of the worst games ever made. (I don't think an original exists)
- Crazybus

SNES
A kickstarter game I backed finally came in the mail.
- Sydney Hunter and the Caverns of Death

FAM
My local used game store gets Japanese games every so often. This was only $3 and it was never released in the US.
- Choplifter

And last a rare game console that was only released in PAL regions.
- Hanimex Programmable TV Game (just rolls off the tongue)
Its part of the series of various consoles released in the PAL regions known as the PC-50X. I have another one called the Lark TVG 868 but I love the look of this one, The joysticks alone look more like an Atari 2600 style. The games are that of early Pong, mostly Pong style sport games and Racing games. It was pretty cheap and its like brand new.

I went to the Midwest Gaming Classic and had a great time but had an expense I was not expecting on the way home after the show.
While I wish it was an unexpected rare game find, I had a tire blow out on the highway on the way home. A large piece of metal blew across the highway and hit the front tire.
I pulled off the highway and pulled into a gas station I opened my trunk to find some Fix a Flat and then I walked around to see the damage, the tire was in shreds. I left the trunk open and some jerk saw my backpack in the trunk drove up and and stole it while I was looking at the tire. He left the three bags of games right next to it thank god but stole a backpack full of dirty work clothes. lol
I drive a 2010 Camaro and it has 20" tires, the car has no spare only a foam kit. I called a few places near by and no one has my size tire.
So I call my road side assistance and they didn't have a spare to give me so I had to be towed the 70 miles home. They only cover 11 miles so I had to play close to $200 to tow it home. I waited FIVE HOURS for the tow truck to get there and on the way home we are hit with a ice storm, so we where going slow and I didn't get home til after midnight. So today I gotta go in and replace a tire for another $250 expense. So the trip cost me an extra $450. oh well, Least I got a bunch of deals on games at the show. lol
Enough of my troubles lets get to what I got. lol

First my bro bought me three of these little Lego Classic Arcades.
- Breakout
- Frogger
- Q*Bert

PSP
Picked up this from a local game store.
- Sweet Fuse: At Your Side

Everything from this point came from the MGC expo.

NDS
I bundled this with another game and it got it for $10.
- SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS

PS1
Got some decent deals on a few more PS1 games I needed to complete to collection.
- Assault Rigs
- Krazy Ivan
- Revolution X

3DO
Saw this for $5 CIB and I pick up most any 3DO game cheap.
- Family Feud

NES
There's always a few homebrew people at the site, I picked up a couple. I wanted the Atari 2600 E.T. programmed onto a NES cart. But the guy wanted $100 for it. I did get these...
- Justice Duel

GEN
- Coffee Crisis

MVS
Every year there's a guy selling Neo Geo MVS carts there and I seem to always pick up at least one.
- Ironclad

SCD
I found a Sega CD game I've been wanting and bundled it with another Sega CD game I was missing and made it cheaper.
- Who Shot Johnny Rock?
- Android Assault

SNES
I seemed to have picked up a lot of SNES games this year. First was a vendor who had a tub out full of $1 games. I rummage through it and found a stack of sport games I was missing. For $1 I'll buy any game I'm missing. lol
- Madden NFL 98
- ESPN Sunday Night Football
- Sports Illustrated Championship Football & Baseball
- Waialae Country Club
- Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing
Next I bundled a bunch of SNES games I needed and got a nice discount.
- World Heroes 2
- Chuck Rock
- Rival Turf
- The Jetsons: Invasion of the Planet Pirates
- Run Saber
The last table I visited was a guy selling his complete SNES collection and his prices where all under the going value. He even had a copy of that Mountain Bike Rally & Speed Racer combo cart. (it was $1900) By the time I got to him a lot of the rarer games I could afford where gone. I still got this stack of games I needed and got a bundle discount on top of the cheap prices. :)
I wanted to get a lot more from him but I was running out of money to spend.
- Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
- No Escape
- Arcana
- Speedy Gonzales
- Rocky Rodent
- On the Ball
- Jim Lee's WildC.A.T.s
- An American Tale: Fievel Goes West
- Mr. Nutz
- R-Type III

I put a huge dent in my SNES collection from this expo. :)

Prepare for disappointment, my friend. Unless you like your serious, intense game series turned into a spoof of itself.

I almost missed it, in France it was available through only one retailler and until the last two weeks before the release i didn't had any data on it except that it was unavailable everywhere else (i almost thought that this edition was cancelled at first :-[).

Got my After Hours in the mail the other day, smashed up and the box had multiple cuts and slashes in it.  Luckily there was a single copy available in town so I made an exchange.

Also picked up Spy Fox in Dry Cereal (wii) and wild earth: African safari (wii).  Ordered a copy of Ogre Battle 64 on the cheap.  and Found the South Park Fractured but Whole Gold Edition for about $20 (PS4)

Been awhile since I've done much collecting, don't really have the money for retro and new game collecting at the same time, but alongside God of War I grabbed yesterday, I found this snazzy Elder Scrolls: Collectors Edition from a thrift shop today.  Last weekend a buddy had a flea market booth and I was first there and saw that he had some big box Command & Conquer.  Love the series and I'm slowly increasing my PC collection and will grab big box stuff if its cheap.  Wanted to grab Diablo big box off of him too, but couldn't justify 20 for it.  PC collecting for me is abit more about just having the cool big box stuff to display compared to wanting to actually play them like on consoles.  It's its own category of collecting that I just don't have the patience and money for lol

I always like seeing your posts in these threads for two reasons. Firstly to see what goodies you were able to come across on your side of the pond and secondly to see games with titles I'm unfamiliar with and then looking them up on YouTube to see how they play. There's four in that picture alone of games I had never heard of (Street Boyz, Raging Blades, Mashed and Double Clutch). I looked them up on YouTube and to the best of my knowledge they never came out here in the US.

The Street Boyz video I watched was funny because I clearly saw a "F*ck" dropped in one of the character's dialogue. I'm guessing that's okay since it's rated 16+ but I know if I was throwing that word around at that age, my father would have slapped my mouth off my face.  :P

As for pick-ups, I broke down and picked up the Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Premium Edition. I had to drive quite a ways to pick it up as the closest GS that had it was 45 minutes away (the next closest was 2 hours away in Louisville, KY).

I have a soft spot for those 3d beat em up games like street boyz and raging blades. They are simple but I really enjoy playing such games.

I am so, soooo jealous of those PC big boxes, especially the Command and Conquer ones. I actually got Tiberium Sun for XMAS the year it came out and despite barely running on my PC I still really enjoyed it. PC game collecting is criminally underrated, which is wonderful if you are into it since it has remained mostly cheap and easy to collect for.

I was very happy to get these as the C&C series were some of the earliest PC games I played back at the start of the 2000's when my family got a PC.  I had only played the original C&C on Nintendo 64 before that.  I kept up with C&C up till Generals which was the last time I really played the games much.  But yes, PC collecting has the potential for the best collections because of big box games and overall variety and cheapness.  I grab the smaller, double width, stuff too, like Elder Scrolls when I can, though I mostly ignore DVD case sized stuff unless it's a specific game I want.

I have about 20 PC big boxes and I feel the same way; I love the big boxes, but unless it's some PC exclusive that I can't get on Steam or GOG, I don't really collect the DVD case games. I just love the art on the bog boxes and occasionally there is other cool stuff that comes in those big boxes as well.

But yeah, Command and Conquer was one of those early PC games for me as well. I didn't have a PC until 1999 or so and even at the time it was only running 2-year old games well and new stuff would either cripple it or not run at all. Still, I got to enjoy a lot of excellent RTS games which was my favorite genre in the PC at the time. A friend of my had Red Alert and I used to play it often at his house.

Wii
Been on the hunt for this game for a decent price for some time, I was originally only looking for the game but found a guy who would sell me the game and the bike for the price just the game goes for. I had to bite. This has to be the rarest game and Wii accessory. It even has the cord needed to hook it up to the Wii. Just not sure where I'm going to store the bike. lol
- Cyberbike with the Wii Cybercycle.
Oh and my cat Zeddy decided to be in the picture. lol

PSP
My local used game store got this in for $7 and I couldn't say no.

- Internatuonal Superstar Soccer Pro 98 (this game was really hard to find)

NeoGeo Pocket
My local used game store got in something I don't see too often, Neo Geo Pocket. They got in a system brand new in the box with one game. I didn't have the game or this color variant so I had to get it.
- Neo Geo Pocket - Aqua Blue
- King of Fighters Round 1

GG
Picked up a couple of Game Gear games I needed.

Picked up a few SNES games I was missing, paid about $2 each accept for the non sports one. which was $5.

- Brett Hull Hockey
- Champions World Class Soccer
- Judge Dredd

GEN
I was at my local used game store and saw something among the loose Genesis carts that caught my eye.
- Blockbuster Game Factory Cart
It wasn't cheap but it was far less then one goes for online. I bought it and had to see if any game was on it and it's blank.
Oh well still a great piece of gaming history in my collection.

FAM
Picked up a Japanese exclusive game for the Famicom.
- Donald Land

PC-50X
I picked up a game to go with the rare console I picked up last week.

G&W
My local game store got in something you rarely see in the wild. I CIB Game & Watch. It was priced at $90 and looking online seeing it goes for close to $200 CIB I just had to get it. The system is in mint shape and the screen looks to have no flaws.
- Mario's Cement Factory

Just got Samurai Warriors: State of War and Spider-Man 2 for PSP.

I've heard that Spider-Man 2 on PSP is completely different from it's console counterpart and is more in-line with the Spider-Man: The Movie's gameplay. Sounds fun, I thought Spider-Man 2 was boring in comparison to the 1st one.

Years ago when I was relatively new to video game hunting and collecting in general, a local store owned by Go Hastings had the blue Blockbuster Game Factory cart just among their other Genesis cartridges, which at the time were all $5 regardless of title. I looked at it, wondered what the hell it was, and put it back on the shelf. it wasn't until shortly after when I researched it some more that I found out it was something truly rare, albeit not that remarkable, but still. That is one of those finds that I kick myself for looking back on it.

At least it doesn't hurt as much as missing out on Tetris on the Genesis for only $15, that one really, really hurt.

There was no tetris for the sega genesis only in japan for the megadrive

Not to mention that that game is so rare that there might be less than 10 copies around. if it really was a genesis version it was reproduction a fake not to mention considering the amount I highly doubt someone would have imported to the US if there would have been a small chance to find one somewhere randomly. it wasn;t even released so it's pretty much impossible for the normal man to get it unless you had connections with sega at the time. didn't even reach store shelves only some copies were made as an example before it would have been released.

Okay, MD  ::)

But they had a loose copy on a shelf for months at a local game store back around 2011. By the time I realized what it was it was gone when I went back to get it. I have no idea if it was a repro, but it looked authentic especially when I compare it to picture online. And I'm well aware of how insanely rare it is, but without accounting for every copy, which has not been done as far as I know it could have been the real deal. Guess I'll never really know.

the reproduction market for japanese megadrive has been going on for quite a while 2011 was no exception especially for rare games. the megadrive didn't sell to well in japan pretty bad. reprodctions in japan are even worse than in the US it's kinda ridiculous. allot of japan megadrive games if were looking at the good games are allot more pricy than their english counter parts It's pretty bad when games in japan are more expensive than their english counter parts.

They are also very well done not those ali express ones not to mention hard to tell when it is a reproduction or not, yea sure you could open the cart problem is japanese megadrive cart labels are on top of the screws so you would need to heat the lable up to remove it without any damage wich is kinda annoying.

I'm pretty sure it was a fake It's not to uncommon especially with japanese megadrive even cheap games have nice reproductions there. It's also not the kinda game that would be imported since it was hold off or wasn;t some action game for the niche market block busters had many great games on the import side. Yea sure there is a super small chance that some (ex)  sega employee sold that cart to a retro game store   ::) but most likely a reproduction or bootleg from back in the day japanese sega games are most definitely in lots it was available.

Great addition to my many PSP purchases, as of late. Loved the original on PS1, so it's great to have a handheld version.

Now if I could just a get a working PSP to show up to my door so I can play these damn games...

And i also got the UK variant of The Gateway from an error in an online purchase, i ordered Tobal No 1 on PS1 and got this one instead... well i was immediately refunded and they told me to keep it so i don't really mind (it's a free game ;D), and for my video-games movies collection i found Hitman: Agent 47 (the second movie based on the game).

Yeah i know that logo since Magnacarta (Tears of Blood) on PS2 and it's one of the few publishers/distributors that i try to get every release i can find because most of the time i never heard about those games so i never know what to expect when i put the disc in the console and i love that feeling, playing a game that i never heard about, never seen a video or even a picture of it (sure, well-know games are fun too but... without even playing with them we already know what to expect, there is no surprise and that's what i search).

So i always keep an eye for logo like 505 Gamestreet, Midas Interactive Entertainment, Agetec, Midas Touch, Play It and Phoenix, most of time they're pretty cheap since almost no one care about them, sure some of them are mediocre (or simply bad) but i always have fun playing with them and sometimes i even find a little gem like Bujingai or BCV (a fighting game with construction vehicles :o, a bit slow but soooo fun  8)).

I rarely post in these, but I feel like I need to mention that I picked up one of the most dull, uninspired strategy RPGs of all time: Hoshigami for the PlayStation. It's not a good game by any stretch, but I wanted to reacquire it because there is a strong sense of nostalgia to it. It was the very first game that I ever reviewed on GameFAQs. If anything, I'm thankful for it because it made me realize how fun it is to put your opinions of a game into writing.

It may not get played much, if at all, but it's nice to have it back after all of these years.

Is that a Betamax player they're leaning against? Awesome.

Yes, all of my pictures are taken with that there. It does not work. It has a short in it and I just haven't set aside the time to figure it out. For example, it has test pins and the ground is hot. ;)

Had a very eventful day of hunting for games around town and this is what I found. Highlight was definitely the SNES games which I walked away with for $60 total. Other stuff was pretty cheap and well under ebay.

I also added Angry Birds: The Movie to my video game movies collection.

[Edit]

And my loots from another garage sale just after lunch (a friend invited me to eat and there was another garage sale where he live).

PS2 (I don't take the usual Sports games like PES or FIFA but the lot was at 1.50€ and Pro Beach Soccer seems interesting)

FIFA 2003
FIFA 2004
PES 4
PES 6
Pro Beach Soccer

I also found a Hulk DVD, which has two movie inside: The Incredible Hulk Returns and The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, and i'm pretty happy since i never seen any of them, and i also got the vinyl soundtrack for Rocky IV.
